Yeah I suppose. I am curious why the drivers side did not destruct as fast or as bad as the passenger side. The fact that one lobe was bad is also weird. All the rockers were mechanically sound the tops were just worn. When I took the VVL solenoids out they were pretty sludged up. Lot of debris...
It is a shame that Jeep/chrysler canno control their quality. I can see why aftermarket companies is are hesitant to step in the ring with the engine stuff. It has the bones of a fantastic power plant, but poor assembly practices, materials, and emissions, has brought this platform to a roll of...
Another awesome Saturday........ nope. We'll started getting misfires on 2, 4, and 6. Pulled the drivers side valve cover off (ridiculously difficult task by the way) greeted with a very wiped cam lobe on 6 and the rockers were tore up on the rest. The cam bolts are suppose to be 89in/lbs. It...
The harness along the firewall and on the engine have to change. Not really that hard. Currently I am not aware of any commercial tools capable of writing a vehicle VIN to the GPEC2. I do know the dealer can set up a blank ECM to your Jeep, but they type in the vin and it loads the factory...
So your jeep has a body control module, transmission control module, if it is automatic, entertainment radio, havac panel, evic, shifter and steering wheel controls. They all have a rolling security address, that is expected to be set at start up. If one returns a wring address the jeep goes...
The problem you will have is the VIN source address security. At each key on the controllers are sequenced with a security address that rolls. If this sequence is not met and the VIN is not correct, then the system locks out the engine controller.
I put vintage air in a an old chevy 56 that has been updated with 5.0L and 4l80e with some new running gear. Guy has added great entertainments system awesome seats. Has it done up as just a nice daily. I was digging the simplicity and ruggedness.
Solid choice, I like those, power wagon is kind of cool too. I am really digging the form factor of the gladiator. The size and capability are spot on, just wish it was not such a basket case. Not sure if I wanna build a pentastar, V8, or just step into something else.
I live in Southern IL so I can drive whatever. BUT their kit eliminates DI and MDS. They did have kits for the LS3 and now they modify an LX4 to standard injectors. It is really quite cool as it.uses the Jeep ECM to run the whole thing and your basic LS with all the economy bells and whistles...
Speed, ESS, do not get set in the ECM. It happens in the BCM and the Tazer is a great tool. I would not touch the throttle on any trucking I don't have too. That contraption is full of pitfalls and is a discussion waiting to happen in a room with benches and gavels.
Depending on how long your cams get run bad, you can expect a follow up converter replacement. I am living that dream at the moment. Luckily magnflow makes factory replacements that are better price.
My tb has been fine so far but I am constantly working to find away to make it less erratic for my customers so it never is in the same place for more than a week. The problem I have found is in the stock location. The throttle Control model cannot consistently hold the small opening and it...
