  1. Any Forged Internals available?

If you are going to build the motor, blue print the head. That will save a ton of grief. Heck I may be down for doing that work.
  2. I am not done!

Guys I am not done! I am still here and still working diligently. I am a bit miffed with Jeep engineering, but whatever, will make it roll! I have been helping guys albeit a little slower as I have a couple irons in the fire, but I do my best not to let anything go longer than 2 days. "Don't...
  3. Mark another one dead

Yeah replacing the engine ECM will require some slick engineering. To be fair I am working on back calculating the throttle coefficients to see if I can just make the system linear. Throttle input will equal throttle output. It is a start.
  4. Mark another one dead

No easy stand alone. The body control module and the transmission, radio, dash, fuse block and transfer case all have a source address routine on startup that allow them to sync with each other. If one is the wrong address or missing things go bad fast. If Z-automotive worked with Holley they...
  5. The good and the bad of a roots supercharger.

*The sealing methods are less than ideal. *The cams are made of ductile iron *The VVL solenoids have no physical diagnostics *the lifters are not poka yoke *the phaser oil circuit is prone to clogging *the inector driver saturate and turn off without warning *The throttle body closed loop...
  6. The good and the bad of a roots supercharger.

I can agree with that. In my experience, my truck was airwolf whisper mode when idling and cruising around. Did not make any noise until I laid into it. I suppose if your equipment is pretty damaged of justextra leaky then yeah. Do they make the Gladiator motors in a different factory or...
  7. The good and the bad of a roots supercharger.

Bad cam and wring lifters, does not sound any different at idle. The high lift lobes are what wear away and they are not used until 3000 rpm. That sounds like an Exhaust rocker has gone bad
  8. Mark another one dead

Did it come out of the head or piston Ryan

If I could overwrite the chrysler OS, I would feel alot better about things.

Closed deck on top open deck on bottom
  12. Mark another one dead

Well I may know what caused this. I hacked a 2021 OS into my jeep the last two weeks to try and help the guys with 2021s that are getting stupid throttle response and generally just less performance. I have been logging data almost everyday trying to find tables that are not correctly defined...
  13. Thoughts of throwing in the towel

Well I have this 5L dialed in and it is always dead nuts consistent. Figured the truck does not need to be this wicked up, so it would be even easier. To be fair the Ole gladdy was lookin sharp today
  14. Thoughts of throwing in the towel

It's both: The software has not been stable for at least 4 years. And the software has some fundamental design flaws for the volumes it serves The engine has some serious quality concerns. Lifters, throttle body, cams, catalytic converters, oil coolers, so forth. I like the V8 option but the...
  15. Throttle body recall for 21-22 gladiators

Well this confirms I am not loosing my mind. I have seen this in a ton of data. I have even had guys change out their throttle body. The actual problem is not with the ecm it is with the throttle bodies and it happens on GPEC2 and 5. My guess is the 5 cannot take the feedback generated when the...
  16. Anyone using the Ready Brute Elite II tow bar to Flat Tow

So is that like a surge brake setup? How does the wire get routed, what happens on steep hills? Been thinking about flat towing. We did this a couple weekends ago
  17. Thoughts of throwing in the towel

Well guys I figured I could vent here. If it is not appreciated I apologize. I have have put out a fair number of tunes, and as this deal ages I am getting closer and closer to 60/40 split of Jeeps that need work after the fact. Thanks Jeep for your 300+ iterations of OS and great quality...
  18. The good and the bad of a roots supercharger.

I have about 10k miles on my fix and no signs of it returning. I did have the catalytic converter come apart on that side. So right now I am running a bit lopsided. New one is 1300 dollars
  19. Went from 20s 12.5s to 17s 10.5s. added like 50 HP and caddy ride.

These are pretty awesome in the mud, your truck will get dirtier, cause they sling it off and clean out better. All and all a good thing. These are way better off road then my last setup.
