I found an article online that states the EGR monitor may not run for a number of engine issue reasons along with rough idling, etc.., which makes sense because these engines have been trouble for so many people. There is an entire facebook page dedicated to that. I was only thinking wow, lucky...
I have tried that drive cycle from the guys youtube video.. but, that is at least promising that someone has said I did X and X worked. I will put a thumbtack in that for later. The dealer when I droped it off believes the test of the EGR may not be running on mine due to rpm....I have tried It...
You sound just like the dealer who cannot tell me what those "self test targets" are....update....2 dealers by the way so far looking at it. I dropped it off to the chrysler dealer in Hemet today to have them try their hand at it. I don't think anyone here reads the whole thread before...
See that is exactly what I mean. Jeep could at least take it in and check the basic stuff, but they refuse and tell you to drive it to kick the can down the road. I have had the TSB to replace my steering gear box with the cast iron black one, so maybe this could be something I have them check...
I purchased the vehicle brand new in Hawaii from a jeep dealership and owned it from mile 0. It has currently 17k miles on it. Hawaii does not have SMOG, so the problem could have been there from purchase. I just moved to California and because it is a new vehicle in the state I am required to...
I can absolutely lemon law it because I cannot register it, which is significant because it inhibits my usage of the vehicle. I am required to pass smog to bring it in state and register it and it was bought new from chrysler, not used. It Does not have to be bought in Cali if the vehicle is...
I am having issues with just my EGR monitor going ready. I bought my jeep in Hawaii and it is a 2020 with about 17000 miles on it. Shipped it to Cali and arrived Dec 16 2021 but the battery died in transit and had to jump start it. Well I have had the computer flashed Early February because I...
Have you considered RustysOffroad? They have a nice step/rock rail solution uses solid frame body mounts as well. It is a little more expensive but check them out.
I get what you are saying, but is this a problem that needs fixed? I can use my key to unlock it, then the light comes on, and I can open the tailgate, load my stuff, close the tailgate, then lock it using the key pressing it twice to turn the light off...The only way I see you doing this is...
As long as you do not hit the button twice on your key to lock it and disable the acc circuit you can push the button in the cab and turn the lights on whenever you want, even when the vehicle is not running. When it is running, just push the button in the cab to turn them on. The doors do not...
Not sure what you are saying because like others here my bed lights come on and off when I lock the jeep or unlock it. I can turn it on or off manually by pressing the button to the left of the steering wheel that looks like a headlamp shining on the ground...I actually thought those were my fog...
Sorry I meant wheels and not tires on the last part there, but thanks, that makes me feel a little better. I think these rotors are larger than what you would find on a JK so I should be good. If not I will change them to powerstop. When I went to 35's on my jeep JK and was doing a lot of...
Hi everyone, I am considering whether I need to upgrade the brakes from stock to a power stop brake kit or not. I do know they are large rotors and calipers. The 18x7.5 wheels that come stock on my overland are almost filled up on the inner diameter less about maybe just under an inch from the...
UPDATE: DEALER FOUND THE ISSUE AND FIXED IT. IT WAS A PURGE CONTROL VALVE IN THE EVAC SYSTEM. THEY SAY IT IS A HIGH FAILURE RATE ITEM, BUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS CLEAR AND GOT THE JEEP BACK SO HAPPY CAMPER HERE.
The check engine light got me at 450 miles. I suspected the gas cap and the jeep dealer read my code and set me an appointment for next week. the code was an evac leak. So I guess we will see. It is a cheap ass gas cap! I might be upgrading this soon.
