  1. Virginia Sold: JL Tazer Lite $150

Just unmarried and updated firmware so it is ready to plug into your Jeep. I used it on my 2020 Gladiator to adjust the tire size and turn off the license plate lights when the backup camera was on. I bought it used and didn't get a USB cable with it, but I am including one that fits in case...
  2. Virginia Alu-cab Canopy - $2000 obo

Local pickup only. Located in Spotsylvania VA. I bought it new about 2 years ago. Getting ready to sell the Jeep and selling off the accessories. It has an interior light on the underside of the door on each side and a third brake light on the rear, I never bothered to hook any of these up...
  3. "It's not being shipped as a whole car"

While technically true that many of the parts and assemblies are build elsewhere, the VIN isn't assigned until they are ready for final assembly. There are a few options that get added after the truck leaves the factory, like a bed liner. But that is installed right down the road in another...
  4. Virginia WTB 1 Rubicon/Mojave tire or tire/wheel - VA/MD/DC area

I'm interested depending of course on where in PA you are and how much you want for the tire.
  5. Virginia Sold: WTB 1 Rubicon/Mojave tire or tire/wheel - VA/MD/DC area

I picked up 4 already but need a 5th so my spare can be the same size. I don't care it it's just a tire or if it's mounted on a rim. I also don't really care how much tread is on it since it will just be a spare. Just need a tire sized 285/70R17
  6. JT owners post your MPG

Oh yeah. It definitely saves weight. I was just pointing out that your numbers were at least partially due to the difference in door material.
  7. JT owners post your MPG

If you are comparing JK doors to JT doors then the comparison isn't fair. JK had steel doors and JL/JT have aluminum doors. Overall they made the JL about 100 pounds lighter through use of aluminum compared to the JK. So a good chunk of the weight savings you are seeing isn't lack of power...
  8. So was the Gladiator the first modern Jeep Pickup? Because...

I assume it's a 95 Wrangler with either a modified CJ8 top or an aftermarket top made by Gr8tops or another company.
  9. So was the Gladiator the first modern Jeep Pickup? Because...

Right so it's not because of CAFE regulations, it's because of customer preference. Two door trucks sell in lower numbers so fewer models are offered in 2 door models. Also CAFE didn't get rid of large cars, consumer demand did. People tend to either want a smaller more efficient vehicle or...
  10. So was the Gladiator the first modern Jeep Pickup? Because...

I don't see how CAFE regulations would have an impact on this. Quad cab trucks and standard cab trucks are both in the same category and should get almost identical mileage and if there is a difference the lighter standard cab truck would get slightly better mileage. Could you provide more...
  11. So was the Gladiator the first modern Jeep Pickup? Because...

I agree. I would love to have a 2 door Gladiator with a 6.5 ft bed and the same wheelbase as the current one. But 2 door trucks just don't sell in large numbers anymore so I doubt Jeep will do it.
  12. Working on a deal for a Sport with a 24B Package

That sounds about right. Rough numbers: $1500 destination fee, $1500 sales tax, $100 tags, and then like a $1400 doc fee or something in that ballpark. I have how crazy high the doc fees (added dealer profit) are. It's one reason I often end up buying cars in Maryland instead of Virginia...
  13. Working on a deal for a Sport with a 24B Package

Yeah, I know when I was shopping there were a few dealerships that advertised really low prices online but you couldn't get those prices. First they didn't include the destination fee which is basically $1500 and it's kind of dishonest to leave it off of the advertised price and then charge it...
  14. Working on a deal for a Sport with a 24B Package

On mine my MSRP was 40,385 and I paid 34,163 (plus $300 doc fee and taxes and tags) after the $2000 manufacturer rebate that was running at the time. That's 8% under invoice plus another $2000 off in rebates. Mine was a custom order through Criswell in Maryland, it was a simple no haggle deal...
  15. So was the Gladiator the first modern Jeep Pickup? Because...

There's a company named Gr8tops that makes aftermarket half cab tops and bolt in bulkheads to make Wranglers into small pickup trucks. I had a TJ that I did that to, was kind of unique and neat. Totally the most useless pickup in the world, my bed was only 32 inches long. Plus you lose most...
  16. Shifting Issue into 4WD

The first time I used mine I had to be going about 7 or 8 mph to get the shifter to move to 4hi. After 2 or 3 uses it got much easier to move and I could do it while moving at like 1 or 2 mph. Once I had used it about a done time I could put it into 4hi while sitting still and the 4x4 would...
  17. Gladiator gas octane?

Have you ever seen a fuel depot where the trucks fill up before heading to the gas stations? There are giant tanks that they fill the tanker trucks from and the branded and unbranded trucks are lined up and fill from the same tank one after another. They aren't selling old gas to the unbranded...
  18. Gladiator gas octane?

It could be any one of a million things. Gas mileage varies depending on so many factors like how fast you drive, how aggressively you accelerate, how much weight is in the vehicle, etc. So unless you tracked mileage along with what you did in between fill ups there is no way to know if there...
  19. Gladiator gas octane?

Gasoline is pretty well regulated nowadays in the US so this just isn't true anymore. In fact the unbranded gas stations buy the same gas as the branded gas stations, they just aren't locked into any one brand so they can buy from whoever is selling cheapest today. So John Doe's Gas N Stuff...
