  1. Virginia (Stafford County/Fredericksburg) Gladiators

I live in Dumfries / Woodbridge but moving to Spotsy. I looked at a bunch of dealerships from Richmond all the way up to DC. I wanted to get one off the lot, so part of it was finding one configured how I wanted. I ended up going with Koons in Tyson’s corner as they gave me a great deal and were...
  2. Weathertech TechLiner Bed Mat opinions

I’ve been thinking about getting one of these as well. I had a rubber bet mat in my Tacoma and it was great for keeping things in place. On this truck I have the line-x bed spray so now I’m not worried about the bed, but worried about scratching metal when I slide it across the rough bed...
  3. Gas mileage

I’ve posted in the other mileage threads, but hadn’t seen anyone talking about doors / tops off configuration in here. As that seems to change my mpg’s the most. I have an Overland, premium soft top with rubicon takeoff wheels & tires with Bak tonneau cover. Otherwise it’s pretty stock. I took...
  4. Soft top vs. Hard top

I bought the truck on the lot with a soft top and made a deal with the dealer to pick up a hard top later if I wanted. You think the hard top in the winter is worth it? Like just a bit better than soft top or much better? I live in Virginia so we get snow but not like the kind NY and Mass get...
  5. Anyone have pictures of rear dash cam mounting solution?

That’s kind of a cool place to mount the rear view. I didn’t really consider doing it on the box, but I bet it has a nice view directly out the back. I do kind of like being able to throw the visor down and not record me in the car all time if I/passengers don’t want it.
  6. Anyone have pictures of rear dash cam mounting solution?

I’ve had the same issue with the rear facing camera, thinking about upgrading the adhesive.
  7. Anyone have pictures of rear dash cam mounting solution?

So I have the Thinkware u1000, mounted both on front window. I didn’t want it on the sound bar as I’ve read it can mess with reception and I like the soft top in the summer or no top, so didn’t want anything in that back that would be coming off some of the time. I attached a couple views of...
  8. Because the regular frowny-clown grills aren't bad enough, there's this abomination

I think the saying is it looks better after the bar ;)
  9. Sunglasses - where do you put yours?

I keep some in the console, but have been looking at the console safes, so that may change. I usually keep a backup pair in my glove box. Then I might just wear something else with me and just keep them on me all day. I really don’t like driving without them, so I try to keep extras for when I...
  10. MPG with top off--Big difference?

Yeah I roll around with doors off and the top back on my soft top. Driving on the freeway around 70-75mph and I get 16.7mpg. When I have the doors on and the top on driving freeway speeds I get closer to 20-21mpg. However those 3-4mpg will never make up for the pain and suffering caused from...
  11. Question for the board: LE Rubicon vs similar equipped Rubicon

I have a Sting Gray gladiator and every time I see it, I think damn that’s a fantastic color. It was a color that a couple years ago I had no idea it existed, but if I’d bought the black truck off the lot, I still would have loved it, because Gladiator, but that Sting Gray color makes me smile...
  12. If I add lift, do I have to also buy new tires?

You don’t “have” to buy bigger tires. But if you lift your truck you probably will want to buy bigger tires. Feels like with Jeeps that the more mods you do, the more mods you need. Plus, hanging out on the forums you see so many awesome trucks and ideas. I have the Rubicon takeoffs and am...
  13. Three Gladiator Family..... and a Wrangler.

That sounds like a solid plan and if she’s you know driving her other car, well you could make sure the Mojave is running right. My wife was just bugging me about how I keep getting the new cars, so maybe a brand new Mojave would solve that.
  14. 392 wrangler

I know, I was like V8 that’s cool, but like I’m probably not trading in my JT any time soon, but those doors. Like take my money, what they aren’t painted? Take more money FCA or stalagmite, whatever you call yourself now...
  15. Can this stock piece between the fender and bumper be removed?

Until I joined this forum, I didn’t realize they had that piece on the Sports, I have seen guys remove it. I think Jeep shouldn’t have it on there in the first place. No offense to the dudes who love that piece, I’d fully support an aftermarket install if you had to have it.
  16. Upgrading Overland (Rubicon Takeoffs or MOPAR 2”)

I’m thinking about the Mopar 2” lift on my Overland and then adding 35s most likely, possibly 37s. You guys noticed any downsides to the lift? Warranty concerns? Drive difference from stock Overland? Any other things to watch out for? My Overland has good steering (at least I feel like it...
  17. Three Gladiator Family..... and a Wrangler.

I feel like those don’t have to be exclusive :)
  18. Anyone have pictures of rear dash cam mounting solution?

I just ordered a Thinkware U1000, supposed to be here by July 20th. I think I’ll mount it near the ACC box and test the views I get out the back. I wanted something with a good parking mode since doors and roof are always off.
  19. Photo challenge.. Show me your Gladiator in your garage.

I’ve liked seeing you build out your truck, looks really good. I want my next garage to be a showroom garage, kind of like what you’ve got going on, love the viper too.
