My 2015 Ford F250 did the same thing. Stiff as a board. For a big truck, it was a surprise that the suspension didn't compress, at all, without a significant load. In comparison, my Gladiator is like a Cadillac!

I have an angle grinder that I got to do one job, expecting it to not last even that long. It's still my main wire cup wheel welding slag remover, nearly 20 years later. Probably the best $12.99 I've ever spent.
Might be just enough difference to let you take the top off. I have some pulley hardware for lifting kayaks and bicycles that I'm hoping will be sufficient, but I haven't had a chance to try it, yet.
My combined commute driving (Sport S, auto, tow package, stock tires) is right at 22 mpg.
