From what I've seen, most tires out there will measure around an inch smaller than the tire size when on the vehicle. I just put Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 315/70/R17's on mine (which are listed just shy of 35") and the measure about 33.8" on the vehicle. I know Nitto 40's measure 39" as I just...
To add on to what others are saying, it's less of the height clearance and more of the rubbing under flex. I just did the same size tire on my Overland North on 17x9 wheels with a 0 offset and I did a 1.5" leveling kit spacer in the front and a .75" spacer in the rear to make sure I had good...
Sorry for the slow reply on this. Unfortunately I'm not really looking to sell the wheels/tires individually. I'm hoping to sell everything in one package.
Selling a set of four Gladiator Overland Wheels and Bridgestone Dueler A/T tires (255/70/R18) . I'd been planning to upgrade to 35's for a little while now, but that got expedited when I ran over a wheel weight and it somehow managed to puncture clean through the tire. It's potentially...
I'm getting these put on my Overland for basically the exact reasons as the OP. I went in thinking I wanted KO2s, but the guys at the shop talked me out of them because he said there are better tires in snow. They recommended the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W and the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 for mostly...
The 275/70/R18 posted above seems to be the commonly agreed upon max tire size if you want to be sure you won't get any rubbing when using stock wheels.
You shouldn't have a problem. That's a significantly wider wheel by about 2.5", but you're also bumping the offset further away from the car by 62mm (right about 2.5"). The 33" isn't going to be much of an issue either.
That's a nice looking setup. If I didn't already have the Mopar hard tonneau, I'd have done something like this. I ended up getting a Thule T2 Pro XT hitch rack because I couldn't come up with a solution that didn't require me to remove or replace the tonneau entirely, which I've been doing to...
I was looking at similar tire options just recently and ended up getting talked into the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W. The guys at the shop I'm going through said that it's the best all-terrain tire in the snow for up here in Minnesota, which was a big factor in my decision making here. I went in...
No kidding. I spent way too long looking at photos trying to narrow down my wheel options when I was getting ready to replace mine. I thought I had the tires all picked out too and then when I went to the shop they talked me into the Falken Wildpeak AT3W instead of the BFG K02 because the...
Yeah, it probably competes more with their Terra Grappler G2. I just ordered new tires yesterday and was between the Terra Grappler G2's and the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W. Ended up going for the Falkens because they're supposed to handle snow better.
It comes off fairly quickly, but it's not super convenient. You have to unbolt it from a couple of brackets at the front of the bed and disconnect the drainage tubes, then it just lifts off. I have to take mine off to carry my mountain bike. I wish it were tool-less to take it off, but it's not...
That finish is awesome. Any shots down the side that show the poke? I feel like 0 sticks out a bit far for my taste. I was figuring maybe something closer to +20.
I dig the bronze wheel look. I'm heavily considering it for my Billet Silver Overland. I've only found a couple images of them with billet silver though as well.
Did you ever end up recording a video? Really curious to hear this setup. So you guys removed the first two mufflers/resonators in the exhaust and left the one by the rear wheel?
