You literally said it was biology…it’s not. I can get on board the Hunter/gatherer differences but aptitude to work on a vehicle is not a genetic trait unique to men.
As for the stats, of course there are more men mechanics because societal norms have pushed it that way.
Dude...lack of mechanical aptitude in women (and lack of interest) says more about how they were raised...it is NOT a 'biology' issue as you said. I have two girls and I will make sure both of them know their way around a vehicle. All you're doing is perpetuating stereotypes.
You beat me to the punch. The guys stuffing foam and stuff in there is just going to trap water. I live in the PNW so corrosion is always a concern here.
Nice canopy but no glass side windows for me thanks. I went with the RSI Adventure Smart Cap but must admit the the lighter weight of the Alu-cab would be nice.
I run 37" Ridge Grapplers in the summer on KMC wheels and in the winter I use 35" KO2's on the stock 7.5" wheels. I air down all the time on both sets of tires and have never had an issue. I've also had no abnormal wear on the KO2's which I was concerned about since they are spec'd for a 7.5"...
Would be nice if Mopar offered these for the JT too. I don't mind doing a bit of fab now and then but would much rather just slap these on and be done with it.
'Well, that depends on your point of view. One reason (out of many) that the JT is my first Jeep, is the great mileage it gets, compared to all Jeep prior to the JL.'
The great mileage it gets??? Bahahahahahahaha. Wow.
The mileage is brutal and the least they could have done is put in a...
I don't get the point of the 392 in a Gladiator...seems to me the 5.7L would be a much better fit for MOST people, plus cheaper. Much better power than the 3.6, probably the same or slightly better mileage. The 392 (6.4) has more power but is also heavier and much more thirsty.
I bought 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers for my Rubicon and it rides awesome, and they aren't very loud at all. I also bought 35" KO2's to run on my stock wheels for the winter and they are also quiet and ride excellent. Both are great tires and you can't go wrong. Technically the 35" x 12.5x17 are...
I actually pulled those tires/wheels off for the winter and currently running 35" KO2's on the stock Rubicon rims. I can measure the current setup and give you a pretty close estimation with the 37's....will respond later when I get home from work!
I hear ya man, I test drove TWO different JT's that had the worst steering I had ever experienced...literally dangerous. I custom ordered my JT and was sweating the whole time that I would get a crap steering box, but as it turns out mine is perfect. If ANYONE has loose steering with a massive...
I ordered my JT with the factory Mopar soft rollup cover. It actually is really good quality and it keeps everything completely dry, which surprised me. When buying the cover in the initial build it wasn't that expensive so I got it even though I will eventually upgrade to a hard cover.
I...
So, turns out the problem was the 90 degree connector where the antenna connection comes through the side of the jeep and connects to the cable. This was replaced and now my radio works fine.
The same thing basically happened to me. I ended up ordering exactly what I wanted and while it sucked that I had to wait 3.5 months, I'm so glad I got the JT I wanted with no compromises.
