Looks great!
I'm also putting 38s on a 2.5" lift (Clayton). Wondering what you are doing for inner fenders. In your original picture it looks like the stock inner fenders are still in it? Did you just cut the stock plastic liner where it was rubbing?
Welcome Eric. Glad you made a post on here. I met you guys at Turtleback Trailers earlier this year. Been following your build and videos. Excited to see more travels!
The Gladiator looks great!
I'm also on 37s with no lift. Milestar Patagonia MTs 37x12.5/17, with Method 313 wheels, 17x8.5" with +25mm offset. I haven't noticed any rubbing yet, even loaded down for camping this last weekend, doing some mild forest roads.
Thanks for the update John. That's definitely helpful.
Any idea how much weight you have in the bed in the photo above? I have a 360lb camper on my truck, and I'm still planning out the rest of my setup. I'm leaning towards the 2.5" springs in front and 3.5" in the rear like you have. I like...
Thanks for the update, Nick. Did you have the non-adjustable Falcons before? Do you still have any rake with the 2.5" springs front and rear?
I have an AT Habitat on my Gladiator, so it's a 360lb constant load, and it'll be loaded up a lot more for trips. I'm considering the 2.5" Clayton lift...
@atmotocrosser Looks great! Are those the Motegi Racing MR150 wheels? How do you like them? Were you able to use stock TPMS sensors? Any fitment problems?
I had a similar style wheel on my old Tacoma, and really liked them. I like the price and light weight of these, too, just hadn't seen any...
Glad to hear you don't have any problems with the wheels. I'd heard other lift companies say you need more backspacing, but I'd prefer the higher offset.
Any problems with the stock front driveshaft clearance?
John, thanks for the update. I'm following this, because I'll be in the same situation soon with a constant load, and I've been considering suspension options.
One question I have is with the Borah wheels, with high offset, do you have any rubbing or limited steering or suspension travel with...
I get where you're coming from. I sold my 05 Tacoma to buy the Gladiator. I was strongly considering overhauling the Tacoma, but drove a Gladiator and fell in love with it. My first Jeep, and I'm happy with it. I figure it won't be as reliable as the Toyota was, but it will be easier to work on...
Have you seen the Motegi wheels on a Jeep? I just ran across those wheels, and like the style, and light weight, and they're the correct center bore diameter to be hub-centric (and they're very similar to a set I had on my Tacoma). Trying to picture whether they would look good on a Gladiator...
Any recommendations for a dealership for service in the East Valley? I was thinking of taking it in for the steering wander. I purchased at Chapman in Scottsdale, and was happy with the sales experience, but that's a bit of a drive for service. Any dealers to avoid?
Checking in from Mesa; I got my Gator Rubicon a couple weeks ago from Chapman. Loving it so far. Did a little wheeling near Sedona last weekend (Greasy Spoon), and had a great time.
I've seen a few JTs around Mesa, and passed OVRNGHT headed into my neighborhood. Very nice truck!
I picked up my Gladiator about two weeks ago. Ordered May 31st, delivered July 16th. Loving it so far. Took it up near Sedona yesterday and ran the Greasy Spoon trail. I was impressed with 4 Low, and the capability of the truck. I think I'll need a lift on it, though. The break over angle had me...
The 8.4" also gets you the off-road pages, which the 7" doesn't have. Sounds like you still can see all the info on different screens on the 7", but not all together on off-road pages.
