Finally got to the a dealership today that would submit my corrosion warranty claim. The body shop first provided a quote and then the dealership took that and some pictures where were sent to the mothership. I was told it takes them about a week to process. I'll report back shortly.

So- i repeated the process and did notice that even with things disconnected like in the below pic- key less door unlocked worked- so the jeep had power. I then separated the two negative wires and everything went dead. Let it sit a few minutes, reconnected everything, and started the jeep...

Hmm. ok. So I need to separate the two negative wires from each other to reset the ibs? I thought just disconnecting both of them from the post/ibs would accomplish the reset. Im new at this.

This is what I did. I left it like this for about 25 mins and still getting the error. Guess I might have to take it to a dealer to reset or figure out what else is off?

Ok good to know. Both my batteries came with the jeep when I got it new 3.5 years ago- so I figured the aux was failing first. I’ll replace the main now and see if that fixes things.

Yeah- im slightly annoyed at that too. It sounds like he had his assistant install the belts. I did ask that they try to look for a cause when i dropped it off the first time. Im not sure if they removed all of the panels the first time or just the side one where the retractor is. Anyways...

He said there was fraying all over the belt in multiple places. His best guess is that something is rubbing in the retractor. See below pic. It shows where the fraying is in relation to the overall belt. And again- I used the clips on the car seat not the belt for the infant and the 6 month...

Here is another interesting way to look at it. The rips occur at approx 6-6.25 inch intervals.
