  1. Paint warranty?

Im happy to report that after about 1.5 months of hassle my paint corrosion is finally fixed. It was honestly a very difficult process- mostly because the 2 dealers I had to work with were most unhelpful/disorganized. That said- my hood is finally fixed and the cost was covered by warranty...
  2. Paint warranty?

Finally got to the a dealership today that would submit my corrosion warranty claim. The body shop first provided a quote and then the dealership took that and some pictures where were sent to the mothership. I was told it takes them about a week to process. I'll report back shortly.
  3. Paint warranty?

I just noticed I have the same paint problem on my 2020. 9 months under the 5 year mark.
  4. IBS reset and charging batteries

So- i repeated the process and did notice that even with things disconnected like in the below pic- key less door unlocked worked- so the jeep had power. I then separated the two negative wires and everything went dead. Let it sit a few minutes, reconnected everything, and started the jeep...
  5. IBS reset and charging batteries

Hmm. ok. So I need to separate the two negative wires from each other to reset the ibs? I thought just disconnecting both of them from the post/ibs would accomplish the reset. Im new at this.
  6. IBS reset and charging batteries

This is what I did. I left it like this for about 25 mins and still getting the error. Guess I might have to take it to a dealer to reset or figure out what else is off?
  7. IBS reset and charging batteries

So i replaced my main battery today (i charged it before installing) and unfort... still getting the start/stop error. Both batteries are now new. I had the negative harness disconnected for 10 mins or so while i installed the battery- which should've reset the IBS? Should I now try fully...
  8. IBS reset and charging batteries

Ok good to know. Both my batteries came with the jeep when I got it new 3.5 years ago- so I figured the aux was failing first. I’ll replace the main now and see if that fixes things.
  9. IBS reset and charging batteries

I just changed my aux battery after having the stop start error. After the battery change I’m still getting the error. When you reset the ibs do you need to fully disconnect it like in shadowpaps picture? Or is just disconnecting the whole harness from the battery sufficient? I’m bummed that...
  10. rear seat belps ripped

Yeah- im slightly annoyed at that too. It sounds like he had his assistant install the belts. I did ask that they try to look for a cause when i dropped it off the first time. Im not sure if they removed all of the panels the first time or just the side one where the retractor is. Anyways...
  11. rear seat belps ripped

Ok... so today we finally figured it out. A few days after the repair my 6 year old tried to use the seat belt and it was ripped again. WTF. That night, I also noticed rat shit on the floor- so I set a trap and killed the rat very quickly. The next day I brought the truck back to the...
  12. rear seat belps ripped

how does jeep cares work? I was honestly so disgusted with my local dealer that I planned to write a letter to Jeeps Head of North America. They totally blew me off and tried to tell me my imaginary fat relative cut the belt.
  13. rear seat belps ripped

Here are some pics of the other belt. The damage here are slightly different.
  14. rear seat belps ripped

He said there was fraying all over the belt in multiple places. His best guess is that something is rubbing in the retractor. See below pic. It shows where the fraying is in relation to the overall belt. And again- I used the clips on the car seat not the belt for the infant and the 6 month...
  15. rear seat belps ripped

So.. the 22 month old uses a big carseat BUT i use the metal clips. I rarely touch the belt. Only when I go off roading and remove the carseat is the belt used. On the other side- the 6 year old uses a booster seat. The belts were damaged on both sides and were replaced today. Both belts...
  16. rear seat belps ripped

I feel like I can't be the only one this happened to. I was so upset when I found this because my kids could've been seriously hurt or killed. And yes.. hope everyone can use what happened to me and check your belts.
  17. rear seat belps ripped

Here is another interesting way to look at it. The rips occur at approx 6-6.25 inch intervals.
  18. rear seat belps ripped

yep. Both of them look exactly the same. And yes, this happened at around the same time.
  19. rear seat belps ripped

I'm 5'11 190lbs. This was the rear seat belts.. where by 6 year old and 22 month sit.
  20. rear seat belps ripped

Finally have an update to share: 1. The dealer looked at the belt and was certain they had been cut. He wanted $1200 to replace the belts. 2. I had my regular mechanic replace the belts. It took forever to get the replacement parts due to the strike. 3. The parts finally came in and he...
