So they told me I’m poop out of luck. I’m glad they are taking care of everyone else. @JeepCares looks like I’ll be driving a gladiator around with the paint bubbling off. I do have corrosion on passenger side hinges and my hood hinges. Between the engine replacement and now my paint bubbling off this has been the worst vehicle ever owned. I’ve only ever owned jeep wranglers. 1997,2006,2013 and now those POS. Looks like I’ll be going to the Toyota side after this truck.
Hi @awdis247,

We apologize you did not receive the result you had hoped for. Did the dealer share available options to assist with the repair? We are able to look into assistance regarding any rental, technical assistance, etc. concerns but the dealership must submit all vehicle repair assistance requests on their end.

I was told my only option was to pay for a full repaint of entire vehicle at my own cost. I will be going back in to get a quote on how much it will be and if the corrosion on my hood hinges and passenger side hinges qualify for warranty repair.

If you are within the 5 year warranty period, there shouldn't even be a question on whether or not it is covered......

I've been driving Tacomas as my company issued work vehicle for 20 years and they are always complete piles of shit
I have owned a few Toyota's in my time and the quote I heard from somebody once of "Toyota builds a better customer, not necessarily a better vehicle" rings true to me.

Back in July, I bought a new 2024 Ford Ranger for my daily and had a ABS sensor crap driving off the dealer lot and about two months later, noticed the front driveshaft rzeppa joints slinging grease from under the boots and had that replaced. Last week, noticed some weld slag painted over below the rear window. Ford Ranger guys with the 2.7L and 3.0L are reporting bad cam phasers about the same frequency as Pentastar valvetrain issues.

Nobody builds a solid vehicle anymore.

When did you take possession of the Gladiator? as it is covered from that day for 5 years.

Finally got to the a dealership today that would submit my corrosion warranty claim. The body shop first provided a quote and then the dealership took that and some pictures where were sent to the mothership. I was told it takes them about a week to process. I'll report back shortly.

A few months ago I noticed the paint on the edge of my 2022 hood starting to show corrosion in a couple of places. My dealer took some pictures and sent them in for warranty approval but apparently the request was kicked back because they did not submit enough information. I spoke with dealership today and they'd like me to leave it with them for a day to better document the problem and get everything sent in. I don't mind doing that but things at work are hectic so I'm holding off for at least a couple of weeks.

The problem isn't bad yet and is only showing on the driver's side edge of the hood. From what I've read this is covered for 5 years and unlimited miles, is that correct? I'm currently a little over 34,500 miles and the Jeep will turn 3 in a couple of months. I will get it back to the dealer for proper documentation before it rolls over 36K miles or 3 years. Right now it isn't bad enough that it bothers me and I'd rather wait at least a few months to see if corrosion shows up on the door hinges then get it all done at once. Is there a reason I should get the hood taken care of now rather than wait?

Dealership I went to, looked at it, wrote up what I needed, ordered the parts. About 2 weeks later called saying parts are in, scheduled the appointment, 1 1/2 weeks later got a call it was done.

They even gave me a 2025 Grand Cherokee with 471 miles on it as a loaner.

I was worried about taking it in and was pleasantly surprised at how they took care of it and me.

I’ve had two visits to the dealer with corrosion issues… hood ( twice ) hinges , top of windshield , bottom of panel by rear gate , and bots. Twice covered with a loaner . I was told I have 6 moths left of the five year corrosion warranty. I suggest everyone go through the Jeep with a fine tooth comb , I will before it ends . I did not notice the area by the panel where the tail gate is. Thankfully the shop noticed it and pointed it out . What happens after five years ? Sell it or shit out of luck . That’s bad , real bad

Im happy to report that after about 1.5 months of hassle my paint corrosion is finally fixed. It was honestly a very difficult process- mostly because the 2 dealers I had to work with were most unhelpful/disorganized. That said- my hood is finally fixed and the cost was covered by warranty. Thank you Jeep Cares for helping to push the dealer to address my issues.
