Im happy to report that after about 1.5 months of hassle my paint corrosion is finally fixed. It was honestly a very difficult process- mostly because the 2 dealers I had to work with were most unhelpful/disorganized. That said- my hood is finally fixed and the cost was covered by warranty. Thank you Jeep Cares for helping to push the dealer to address my issues.

I know everyone loves to slam @JeepCares but they've helped me before with a couple issues with my JL and I've seen others they've helped, too. Looks like they intervened on your behalf, too.

It's good to give them a shout out like that. It's good to have some corporate help with dealerships sometimes. In my case, the dealership was fine but they needed extra push from @JeepCares to get approval from corporate for them to take care of things.

I'm going to be taking mine in for some paint bubbling on the edge of the hood. So far, my hinges are holding up. But I inspect them frequently.

Will do! My Jeeps are 100% mission capable right now, as they usually are. Just got a new clutch under recall warranty on the JL at 99,000 miles and it was installed perfectly. The Jeep tech did an outstanding job!

Thank you so much!

Yes, they are. I've worked with them through two ownership groups, starting as Westgate CDJR and now as York CDJR. I first went to them with my 2008 JKUR, probably in late 2007. Their service department has consistently been excellent. I've sent many friends to them over the years and they've all had good experiences. Not one had any significant issue. They diagnose problems well and fix them the first try. And I feel like they advocate well for the customers, such as when something goes wrong shortly after the warranty has expired.

I give them my highest recommendation.

I'll be seeing them about the paint bubbling on the hood edge on my JT sometime this spring. I'm confident they'll take care of it.

If every dealership were like them, I think it would have a huge impact on Jeep's sales and rep.

The dealer in my town where I bought the Jeep new has been less than responsive to other problems. Going there in 2 days to see what their attitude is. I have come up with my own solution. CARBON FIBER. I will just see what happens. Not going to let them touch up a bunch of spots and keep my Jeep for weeks. Then nothing matches. I may or may not paint the Carbon Fiber. Just thinking it out right now. Can't believe I am having to spend time and thought on this after spending so much on the truck. My 2021 2500 HD that sees much more use and abuse looks like it rolled of the dealer lot yesterday with no paint problems at all.

It’s probably not just the hood, the dealer on mine, replaced the hood, tailgate, and three out of four doors. The did a perfect job paint matching the color, you still under warranty for the paint?

I've got a little bubbling on my hood. I'm going to take it in maybe today and get it in line for fixing.

Dealer called me back today. Said they got Chrysler to agree to fix the spot on my hood that is the size of my thumbnail. They will only fix the single spot that is there. The total job cost is $2400. They want me to pay $467 of that. I told them I will call back Monday with an answer. Anyone have any input. I inquired to be sure that he didn't mean the whole hood and his response was " no, that is to fix the spot only ".
