Get it checked out immediately. I had the same issue going from 3rd to 4th. Turns out my D clutch went out and my transmission had to be replaced. From 2 to 3, I guessing that would be the C Clutch, but that's a guess.
So, the important part is you need to take it to a Jeep dealership that...
Not sure if this is the route you want to go but, here is a list of states that allow nonresidents to register their vehicles. I am not sure how this affects your car insurance, but it may be a legal work around. DISCLAIMER: I am not a lawyer, just an ordinary jeep gladiator owner trying to...
As I was reading yet another mpg post here, I had a thought.
Who is getting 20 mpg + or what could we do to get better gas milage, real or totally outrageous.
If you have a 2 door JL with the 4 cylinder turbo, with the highway tires you can get about 24 mpg.
In my Wife's JL, 6cyl, she was...
I believe so, but it’s been a few years since I’ve gotten paint. I do know you have order it through the dealership because they won’t ship the paint because of the chemicals. At least that’s why Mopar claims.
When I applied the hydro blue I was pissed. I was like this doesn't match at all...
The Mopar paint isn't that more expensive. I've used their hydro blue and then the Mopar clear coat and you cannot see where I have painted. Go with the exact match. They even sell paint pens for fixing scratches. It works great. Spray can is about $22.50 a can and the pen is about $16.20...
The check gas cap light came on.
I checked the gas cap and tightened it until it clicked.
I did some research and it can take up to 3 days for the light to go away.
If they light stays on after that, then I have an evap leak somewhere in the system.
My question is, should I wait the 3...
I agree with everything but the transmission. I had the D clutch go out in mine. I am not a fan of the ZF transmission. Jeep replaced mine and gave me an extended warranty for my troubles. I didn't have my truck for 6 weeks because of supply issues, hench the extended warranty as compensation.
I have a whining sound too, but it will happen on the highway after the Jeep has been running for a while. The sound will increase upon acceleration and then decrease when I let up off the gas. Not sure if the 2 are related, but I would like to hear people's thoughts.
If you decide to go with this, measure the width of your gladiator at the tires. Anyone with aftermarket wheels or bigger tires stick out beyond our fenders. That would eliminate the function of using that as a flat bed with the sides down because they would rub against your tires while moving.
