  1. No power to 12V and OEM Aux switches

After my Magnuson pooped the bed, I had to have the top end of the motor rebuilt and returned to stock. After having several issues, it is running fine now. Unfortunately, the 12V cigarette lighter socket does not have power and the factory Aux Switches don't work, as in there is no power to...
  2. Intermittent window operation

Update: I could not trace the issue, so I dropped it at the dealership Wed morning. I am out of town until Friday evening (a week and a half). I am hoping they can find and fix it in that amount of time.
  3. Intermittent window operation

Thanks a ton for that. The fuse for the power mirrors is good. I just ordered a replacement thermal reset breaker. If that does not solve it, then there has to be a common ground wire or ground point that is not secure. It may be spending a few days at the dealership.
  4. Intermittent window operation

Thanks. I put a new aux battery in with the engine. What little I can find is that there is no fuse for the doors, but a self resetting circuit breaker. But I have no idea where it is located.
  5. Intermittent window operation

Since my forced engine swap from the cam shafts issue, my power windows and side mirror controls work intermittently. Soon after the swap, they generally worked with occasional malfunction. Now, 4 months later, they generally don't work, but occasionally might. I changed out the master...
  6. 3.6 Cam Self destruction

Did you go with a brand new motor, a rebuilt motor, or a take-off from where someone did a hemi swap? That seems to be the choice I need to make very soon. If you went with brand new, where did you order it from? The dealership says it will take forever for him to get one direct from Chrysler.
  7. 3.6 Cam Self destruction

I believe it gets it from the engine supply, for what little it needs. It bolts right on top of the motor.
  8. 3.6 Cam Self destruction

Dealership just called. On the test drive today, it ate another cam. That is three sets of cams, including the originals. Any thoughts on what could cause that and what I could do to get it fixed? They are done with trying to repair it at this point. They suggested I find a performance shop...
  9. Throttle Control code after Magnuson install

Mine ran great for over 10k miles once this got fixed, but then I had the dreaded lifter/cam problem. That has been fixed, but now there is an issue somewhere in the system because the dealer had to reflash the PCM. I sent the new flash to Maggie and got their updated tune and put it in. Now...
  10. 3.6 Cam Self destruction

The service writer at Superior never tries to explain anything. He leaves it to the mechanic who is working on the car. In one way, that is smart on his part to stay in his lane. But, as you pointed out, the mechanic is backward in his explanation. Now the new problem is that when I put it...
  11. 3.6 Cam Self destruction

I am just repeating what the mechanic told me, which makes sense given the issues only presented at around 4000 rpms and the damage to the lifter is a broken roller and the corresponding gouge in the cam lobe. I am no engine expert, just trying to make sense of the problem based on info the...
  12. 3.6 Cam Self destruction

Superior Chrysler, Jeep, etc. in Henderson, NC. They have done me a solid on a few occasions.
  13. 3.6 Cam Self destruction

BTW: 75,000 miles with all oil changes at 5k mile intervals done at dealership so they have records.
  14. 3.6 Cam Self destruction

I have a Magnuson Supercharger on my 2020 JTR 3.6. A few weeks ago I was heading out to go wheeling and as my rpms hit 4000, I got a Cylinder 6 misfire and an awful shake in the engine. I stopped and turned off the Jeep. After letting it sit for a bit, I cranked it up and it drove fine until...
  15. Magnuson Supercharger Build

Lifted Lou got it figured out. The small plug that connects to the negative battery cable was accidentally left unplugged and the system could not properly read the voltage. that made it think the aux battery was dead and it put the Jeep into limp mode. Plugging that back in and disconnecting...
  16. Issues after Magnuson install

Did you take time for the tranny to "relearn" the shift points? You have to do that. Drive at various speeds under normal conditions for a while. At first, mine wanted to stay in 3rd gear and would run the rpms near red line. But now that it has learned the shift points, my fuel economy is...
  17. Throttle Control code after Magnuson install

It appears as though the mystery is solved. The installer accidentally forgot to reconnect the plug that attaches to the negative battery cable. The system thought the aux battery was dead and put the Jeep into limp mode. Reconnected the plug, disconnected both batteries overnight...
  18. Magnuson Supercharger Build

We are getting some Ian rain on us right now. Will try that as soon as we can. Thanks. I will follow up.
  19. Magnuson Supercharger Build

I just had my Maggie installed and now my Gladiator is in limp mode giving a Throttle Body code and the pedal position sensor is reading at 100% even when it is in idle position. We put a different Throttle Body on and got the same errors. Also wiped and re-installed the tune. Disappointed I...
  20. Throttle Control code after Magnuson install

My Magnuson supercharger was just installed on my 2020 JTR. I went to pick it up after it had been test driven by the installer. Shortly after I cranked it, the check engine light came on. The codes were not disastrous, mostly a cylinder misfire and some older codes. They were cleared out...
