Walmart Kendas now have 20k on them & holding up well. Rode them out to Colorado last year, did Imogene & a couple of other trails, they did great. My local tire shop had no problem balancing them. I should get another 30k out of them. Probably have to pay full price for the next set of 35’s.
Revolution gears. My original choice was Dana. However, the shop I went to Globex Performance uses Revolution. These guys are real Jeepers, I like that they treat my Jeep like their Jeep, & they all have Jeeps. They do a lot of regears & the price was good. That’s difficult to find in New Jersey...
500 mile break in period is over & I changed the rear differential fluid. Note my 22 Rubicon differentials do not have drain plugs. It was necessary to remove the cover. Biggest difference is not having to work the 6 speed so much to stay in the power band. Drives much more in line with my...
I’ll know how I like it more after the 500 miles & swap the gear oil. Right now I’m shifting into 2nd, 3rd, & 4th a lot earlier.
Can’t wait to ring this thing out.
How are you going to handle the MT recall now that the Centerforce is installed?
Only asking because I’m in a similar situation. Just reageared to 4.88 on 35’s with the Centerforce in my garage.
Just got my JTR regeared. Went with 4.88’s the shop uses revolution gears. Master overhaul kits, gears, & labor. Final cost was $1,650 out the door. Still in the 500 mile break in phase.
Right now I have the 315 Kenda Walmart specials. Not looking to put on anything bigger. I love having a manual transmission, but it can be underwhelming at times.
