Thatās an older version eco diesel, they made significant progress through each generation.
I love my diesel, had a DEF pump/heater issue when I first purchased it. Quickly and easily replaced by the dealership. With all of that being said I likely wonāt keep it past its warranty unless the...
Iāve been noticing a slight whine during low speed turns. I have the Willyās trim, assuming that is the LSD. I plan on swapping out the rear diff fluid during my 35k oil change (currently at 32k).
Any reason not to?
Thanks, great thread.
I agree Jeep doesnāt allow you to option the drive train well but having a ā21 Willyās, Iām happy I chose it, as the LSD is a life saver come winter. š¤
I love my Ecodiesel, it makes the Jeep enjoyable, between the various noises, turbo ālagā and plenty of torque. I wouldnāt have bought the vehicle if it wasnāt an option.
With that being said my number one concern is the longevity of this engine and the price itāll incur once out of its...
I have the center console safe, itās moderate security when I have to lock up my pistol as a last resort.
If I had to do it over Iād have bought a VaultTek LifePod and cabled it into various locations in the Jeep. Allowing me the modularity to use it elsewhere, additional safe in house, TSA...
No, is the short of it. NY is not an off road compliant state unless itās private land, even then there can be some issues.
Harriman state park and Bear Mtn can be a blast for two feet though. š
There appears to be a place North of you in Ellenville, Iāve never been. Otherwise Iād head west...
Love my Diesel Gladiator, Iām a huge fan of modularity and quirks, this has boat loads of both.
Iāve had unique and quirky cars that plot all over the map, 87 Dodge D150, evo9 mr, FJ Cruiser TRD, Fiesta ST, and a couple of those I wish I squirreled away in a pole barn some where.
I believe if...
Welcome to the Jeep forum, Iāve experienced this and have seen the dozens of various solutions posted on here in the past.
Personally, I get out and clean them off and carry on my way. š
Oracle makes heated versions and Iām sure throwing some rainx or similar couldnāt hurt.
Good luck.
Iāve had the Duratracās in the past and now the RTās on a work truck (Ram 1500) and my Gladiator diesel. Great in the snow and rain, not very noisy and great price point. I went with the 10ply for towing and arenāt too stiff running them at 38psi.
Bilstein is aces. Restored a Mitsubishi Evo years ago and it had Bilstein from the factory, I went with a quality lowering spring and sent the shocks to the Cali factory for refurbishing and revalving. The whole process was phenomenal and the product was quality.
Iād go Bilstein for sure.
This is the second dealership. š First one said I could get on the waiting list but there were no parts available.
My truck runs great, Iād prefer to get this fixed before it sends shrapnel through my engine.
