You are in NC. There is no "25 ft rule" in NC. It is top of beam should be at center of headlight height or lower at 75 ft, and no higher than 42" at 75 ft.

If you're going to go to the trouble of having your fab guy modify those, you'd be better off to have him just make a new adapter that will allow the rack to sit on it maybe an inch above the rail, that will bolt to the t-track of the X4. If the width of the top bars of the rack is adjustable...

I've truly been trying to figure out these adapters, because the pics are not very helpful. They appear to be 2 pieces that bolt together, that then bolt to the Trail Rail setup, and the rack sits on it and bolts to it. The lift bracket shown in the pic with all the hardware is different than...

I've looked closely at the brackets. Particularly this photo, which does not show them wrapping under, they end at the rail. They also look very thin which equals flimsy in my book. I hope it works out for you, but I'm definitely not going that route.

I'm confused as to why this is even being asked. You act as though nobody has run 37s on the diesel. Your mileage will go down. Almost every change you make will decrease your mileage. Just going from stock Rubicon bumper to stubby reduced my mpg by 1-2.

That's quite possibly the worst gear video I've ever seen. Lots of shots of him sticking his tongue out and almost nothing of the rack or tent or how either is installed, or what they actually look like installed.

I'm looking at the order page but don't see the t-slot mounting option. What is it called? What height rack are you going with? I'm debating half height, just enough to clear the rolled up tonneau, or full height so I can put longer stuff up top.
