I'm looking at the order page but don't see the t-slot mounting option. What is it called? What height rack are you going with? I'm debating half height, just enough to clear the rolled up tonneau, or full height so I can put longer stuff up top.
You have to select the wide bracket, but in the "order note" mark that it is for the Revolver X4 tonneau cover. The brackets are the same cost as the wide brackets.
I went with 23" I believe. I want to run some spot lights mounted on top, and it will give some extra height for an awning.

Here's a vid with the same set up. Skip to 3:20 for the tonneau and rack.
That's quite possibly the worst gear video I've ever seen. Lots of shots of him sticking his tongue out and almost nothing of the rack or tent or how either is installed, or what they actually look like installed.

It was just a quick vid showing compatibility that I shared to answer the options OP was seeking. I agree it would be nice to actually have more install and part number specific vids/resources for these builds as I've only seen 2 relative to Overland Rack set ups with Tonneau Covers. I'll definitely be documenting my build as I feel I'm nearly flying blind on what I've found.

What set up are you running?

I just ordered the BAK Revolver X4s (Newest Option) as they discontinued the X4 and only offer the X2 (Basic Model) and the new X4s. All are supposed to clear with the RCI Overland Racks utilizing their Tonneau Feet/Mounting Option. Again it raises the Rack by approx 3". I'll be sure to snap some photos/vids of the build when I get the parts in. Everything is running 4-6 weeks out :ugh: ?

I have the Bak X4. Trying to figure out a rack solution that allows me to keep the X4, using the t-slots.

For the moment I'm just using a Thule square rack I had on my previous truck's topper that works in the t-slots, but can't roll up the tonneau with the rack on. I may weld up a couple risers and center bars to raise it up enough to clear the rolled X4, but I'm no expert and it would likely be pretty...rednecky.

I was hoping the Yakima Outpost/Overhaul would work with the Retrax feet, but it won't without major mods.

The RCI tonneau adapters look flimsy, and you have to drill into your bedrail. Not a solution I'm interested in. Plus for the price you can get the Xtrusion setup.

Now I'm looking at these extrusions. It's a slick setup, but man are they charging a premium for what amounts to 4 angled connectors and 4 mounting bases. All the rest of it is available at multiple extrusion suppliers. Makes me want to get an aluminum welding gun and give it a go. But I'm lazy, so I'll probably just pay up. LOL

To be fair, 15 series aluminum extrusion isn't all that cheap.

Yeah, I've been looking at it. But hey, I guess the time I save by not dicking around with it myself is worth it. It's definitely a slick system.

Btw, thanks for checking on the mounts for me. I sent them a message.
No problem, they are both good guys. I'm very ready to get my hands on the rack as I have some add-ons I'm ready to start designing. Flip up side panels and the like, but I need to get the rack first.?

Take another look at the RCI Adapters. They look pretty solid. They actually wrap around the bed (Underneath) the Rails for the BAK Revolver (all models) and Do NOT require drilling into the bed/rails although they have holes in them to do so if you're really worried.

I spoke to them a couple times and each rep said they've done multiple shop build on their own trucks with this set up exactly full loaded out with tents and gear with no failures/issues. It's the route I'm going once I get the parts.

Keep us posted if you find another solution. Good Luck. Hope this helps!

I've looked closely at the brackets. Particularly this photo, which does not show them wrapping under, they end at the rail. They also look very thin which equals flimsy in my book.

I hope it works out for you, but I'm definitely not going that route.

I've truly been trying to figure out these adapters, because the pics are not very helpful. They appear to be 2 pieces that bolt together, that then bolt to the Trail Rail setup, and the rack sits on it and bolts to it. The lift bracket shown in the pic with all the hardware is different than the one in the pics with the rack mounted. It looks like they added some side support, but just folded the metal over and didn't weld it. In any case, it all connects through that really thin piece pictured by itself on the rail - maybe 1/16" flat steel at best, half the thickness of the other half of the adapter that the rack sits on.

Agreed in this picture it's attaching to the factory rail type clip. The fold overs in the other pics looks to be bolted together with very little overlap on the attachment to the actual rack itself. I'd personally have them modified by my fabrication guy or welder and re-powder coated for a more stable/secure mounting/quick-release option. I have the BAK on order and will be ordering the RCI Overland Rack next with their tonneau adapter so I'll have to likely start a thread on how I work around that combo. Ideally I'd like to have a locking pin or something that would release the rack for a quick set up to add/delete it based on trips or daily driving.

I may even just weld an additional plate behind it to enclose the interface. Time will tell. Keep me posted if you find a better options. I really need to run the cover and the rack for dryer (not completely waterproof) storage to keep the dust/dirt/mud/weather in general off the gear in the bed under the rack.

If you're going to go to the trouble of having your fab guy modify those, you'd be better off to have him just make a new adapter that will allow the rack to sit on it maybe an inch above the rail, that will bolt to the t-track of the X4. If the width of the top bars of the rack is adjustable, this would be super easy. If they're a fixed width, you'd have to account for the width at the base and make the adapter to fit accordingly.

Anyone know the proper T-bolt size to use in the T-slot? I measured the opening and it appears to be 1/2 inch. Does that sound correct?
