  1. Rear ended.....

Got rear ended by a Honda, whose driver fell asleep .Destroyed the tailgate and the bumper. I ordered the metal cloak modular. It was a direct bolt on replacement and it’s at least twice as strong. Good luck.
  2. K&N cold air intake

Ok heres some science and practical application exerience for you. I have been using K@N filters in both street and race cars for over 40 years. We are talking hundreds of filters. I’ve also rebuilt both Race and Street engines that have had these filters on exclusively. Anyone who is an...
  3. Gladiator = Tank!

I agree these trucks are built like tanks. My 2021 sting grey jJTULRD was rearended by a VW passat doing 60 mph. I was stopped for a traffic light. He fell asleep after a graveyard shift. I drove away. His car was torn in half and he left in an ambulance. Im putting all my grandkids in JTs when...

Update after 700 miles. Removed diff cover to inspect( the new axle no longer has a magnetized drain plug) Found a tiny bit of fine metallic debris on the magnetic fill plug . The gear lube looked clear. The locker and diff Seem exactly like the old ones. I intend to change diff oil again in...

Picked it up today. Dealer also performed some PCM updates. Nice and quiet now. Going to be very Deliberate about locker disengagement from here on out. Would have been nice to disassemble locker for Diagnosis . Oh well.
  6. 2021 Rubicon rear locker failure

Hoping Shadows Papa weighs in on this. Dealership didnt let me take pics but here is what was evident. E locker apparently rides on it own bearing on the passenger side of the diff carrier. Locker evidently didnt completely unlock or for some other unknown reason that bearing failed . Result...

  8. 2021 Rubicon rear locker failure

My JTURD has been flawless up til now. Just at 30k miles picked up a strange rotational noise that has gotten progressively louder. Sounded just like a Ring and Pinion failure. Just spent a month moving a 10,000 sqare foot automotive shop with my rubi diesel. Loaded the bed clear full of tools jacs parts etc. and towed a 15 ft utility trailer also packed full of parts , equipment ,engines, transmissions etc. Im sure I exceeded both load and towing capacity by...
  11. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Last thing, I’m going to do a 4 wheel weight measurement sometime next week. Wouldn’t surprise me if the springs moved about 500 pounds front to rear. Which would help with the extra diesel weight
  12. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

To be even a little more clear, the additional lift provided by the ACOS spacers didn’t overcome the problem of the weak factory springs completely. You could still feel the suspension getting into the hydraulic bump stops on even normal roads with imperfections. These Clayton Springs eliminated...
  13. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

In my case those springs along with the 1 inch already provided by the ACOS coil adjuster exactly leveled my vehicle. 20 1/8 inch ground to rock slider. Front and rear
  14. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Thought it was time for an update now that I put 28,000 miles on the JTRD. As I stated at the time I felt the factory springs were too weak and not long enough. The ACOS coil spacers lifted jeep enough to keep it Off the bump stops most of the time however it didn’t solve the underlying problem...
  15. JT overland diesel towing with a lift and bigger tires

I use both sizes, usually towing 4500 or so. Truck doesnt seem to care . Just digs in and pulls. 2021 JTRD . Enjoy
  16. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

The measurements were taken on the exact same shop floor with vehicle in the same state of dress. Now that you mention it I think your onto something with the shock temperature. I know that ICON has had the stock shocks and Springs through extensive Testing and were surprised by how soft they...

  18. Jeep ceo…. Wants zero emission freedom brand

So im curios how all electric vehicles cope with sitting 15 hours in a snowstorm on the grapevine? How do they heat the passenger compartment? On a secondary note drive through a wind farm and count how many actually are working? Should be illuminating or Darkening depending on your original...
