  3. First REAL towing with the Gladiator Overland -- 4900 pounds tow load

"Easier to install". I'm guessing you didn't have that stupid cigarette lighter removal tool either lol. That was the hardest part. Good point on the other stuff I missed. Yes wider axles on max tow and springs. But I thought tow package was just bigger battery and alternator. Not that fan...
  4. First REAL towing with the Gladiator Overland -- 4900 pounds tow load

Yes all but the max tow, Mojave and rubicon come with 3.73 gears (front and back). The other diff is the max tow has a bigger cooling fan, alternator, battery and the camera can zoom. But no other differences. Trans is the same. Axles same. Frame same. I would recommend getting the mopar class...
  5. Bluetooth trailer brakes, fried wiring

"How's it unreliabel after dealer fixes it" Great question lol.
  6. Bluetooth trailer brakes, fried wiring

I'm not talking "smack". Anyone with a brain understands a wireless connection is not better then a wired connection. Bluetooth itself is not a stable connection. It's range is short. It's constantly interfered with. Maybe do some research into the technology.
  7. Bluetooth trailer brakes, fried wiring

Except that it's bluetooth which is somewhat unreliable. And you said it fried wiring. Plus, if there's a factory option always go with the factory option.
  8. First REAL towing with the Gladiator Overland -- 4900 pounds tow load

I tow damn near 6500 lbs once a month with my sport willys. 5400 trailer, 2 kids wife dog camping equipment. Only time I couldn't hit 70 mph with ease was in Pennsylvania on a 25 mph backroad. Had to take it at about 10 mph in second. Other then that I set it cruise to 70 mph amd get around 11...
  9. Bluetooth trailer brakes, fried wiring

You should have just bought the mopar trailer brake. It's easy to install and works with factory wiring.

Anyone else tow? These marker lights add visibility.
  11. Ohio Marker lights.

    Just some more examples.
  12. Ohio Marker lights.

The lights I use are the common 3/4" lights you find on semi trucks. They are ip67 rated I believe. The biggest difference is they are D.O.T. approved, so street legal unlike oracles. Plus my oracle lights didn't last long. If you ever have to replace a light it's much cheaper then oracle and...
  13. “Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon”

Go to a different dealer. And deny from now on you crossed deep water. Unless you sank the jeep water wouldn't have hit the alternator. Plus these alternators can take water on. I've don't deep crossings. I want to fill all of you in on a secret. These are built pretty close to me in Ohio...
  14. Ohio Marker lights.

Jeep Gladiator marker lights. Easy to install and easy to wire up. Just grab 10 amp fuse piggy back from your local auto parts store and add them to a fuse that kicks on with the truck(f51 is what I use see image). D.O.T. approved, ip67 waterproof L.E.D lights included. The adapters are 3d...

  16. Canada - BC Body armour (yes I'm Canadian) rust?!

There's paint companies out there that make long tube spray paint. Comes with a long tube to shove into rockers and frame rails to spray the inside. If your going to expose fresh metal with holes, I'd spray that in it. I also use butel tape along seems to keep paint wear down and help seal. It's...
