I put on a 4.5" lift, 37s, beadlocks and a winch and I'm averaging around 15-16mpg. But I do accelerate a bit faster than everyone else and usually cruise at 80-90mph on the interstate. For reference, I was getting 18-19mpg stock. If I drive at a leisurely pace and stick to the speed limit, I...
I have 8500 miles on mine so it's still basically new. I did put on 37's and a 4.5" lift at 6000 miles.
The only issue that I've had was the proximity key lock doesn't work about 30% of the time. It's a minor inconvenience but it's a rather annoying one when you expect it to work and it...
The stiffness is very minimal but the ride is much more controlled on the road. I opted for the overland version with the front lower control arm drop brackets for even better on road manners. It truly does ride great on the road. I can top out at 97mph and cruise there with no issues at all.
I...
I debated between the EVO 2.5", up to the EVO 4.5" lift, and everything in between. In the end I settled on the EVO 4.5" Stage 4+ Overland kit. The reason for going larger was that I went through the same decision when I had my JK. I debated between a 3" vs 4" lift. I settled for the 3" lift and...
Here's mine with the EVO Stage 4+ Overland kit with Fox 2.0 4-6" shocks.
Tires are 37x12.5r17 Cooper STT Pros.
I like the lift. It's a bit firmer than stock. Which I feel is a good thing, since the stock Rubicon rode extremely softly. It still has a very slight rake to it, which I think a...
I loved my JKU as well. I ended up selling it last year. I bought a 2004 Jaguar XJ Super V8, HUGE mistake. Then I bought a Civic Type R, another mistake but it was a fun mistake. In the end I came back to Jeep and wanted the Gladiator. I'm so glad that I made that choice.
I haven't taken the doors off my JT yet. However, on my JK I stopped putting the nuts back in at around 5k miles. Sold it at 105k miles and had no issues at all.
It's a daily driver for me. I live right in the middle of the city and don't get to go out an explore offroad much, maybe once a year if that. I just like the look.
With heavy beadlocks, a winch, 37s, and a 4.5" lift im getting 15.9mpg. Not bad considering I was getting 17.5-18mpg stock. In my defense, my shoes are very heavy.
I completely agree. I wouldn't have bought the gladiator if I was keeping it stock. I think they look off until you put some bigger tires on it. Here's mine.
I'll make the choice just a bit harder. I knew that if I got a Gladiator that I would be going to 37s as soon as I could. One test drive of the diesel and I was sold. I had the 3.6 in my JK for 7 years and I just didn't like the engine. It was NOT reliable for me and I didn't enjoy revving it...
Here's mine.
4.5" EVO stage 4+ overland lift
37x12.5r17 Cooper STT Pro
17" KMC Grenade Beadlocks
Front and Rear Adams 1350 driveshafts
Rides great. Got it up to 90mph and no issues with the tires at all.
Nice! I just installed the EVO 4.5" lift with the FOX 2.0 shocks and it rides great! It's a little firmer than stock, but then again, I though stock was too soft.
