Congrats on the purchase! I'm not too far from you. I've got a 21 diesel and have really enjoyed it. I've had it all over the west and as far east as Iowa (twice) without any real problems. If you plan on doing any halfway decent wheeling, then you're going to want a skid plate for the fuel...
It really comes down to personal preference. For me, I knew that the Jeep would be going on long road trips with a rooftop tent. Because of those two things, I wanted a minimum lift to clear 37" tires so I went with a 2.5". For reference, this is a 2.5" with 37" Nittos. For an inexpensive...
If it doesn't look like the picture, then you have the plastic bumper that's not winch-capable. If you have the plastic bumper, you can still use just the winch plate by itself. Personally, I like the look of it.
It definitely would matter to an extent. Eventually, I'll replace the spare wheel with something with the correct offset. Right now, worst case scenario, I would pull a rear tire put it on the front, and put the spare on the rear.
Sorry about that. Your question about the track bar did remind me. Yes, the track bar I have is from Clayton and has a curve in it to clear the tire. A curved track bar will be inherently weaker. With what I do with the truck it should be fine. If you plan on hardcore off roading then I...
Same as what others have said. A 37 will fit without any problems. I've been running with a 37 Nitto Ridge Grappler under the bed for a year now. Drove from the Seattle area to LA twice along with going to Tucsan and Death Valley, and haven't had any problems.
Other than the color, that's the same jeep as mine. So far, I have zero complaints. It's really nice to have the power on tap to get up and move. The fuel economy is also nice. I've had mine on a handful of road trips with 37" tires and the lowest mpg I got was 19.5 by the numbers. As...
It looks like it was a good trip! The DEF use seems a little high compared to what I get but I don't tow a trailer. For comparison, I've taken two trips this year. One was a 2,600 mile trip and one was 3,400 mile trip. On both trips, I burned through 2.5 to 3.5 gallons of DEF
