Dealer repaired under warranty. Replaced aux battery and a fuse that blew. Also found bad pin in a connector that they repaired. They didn't say what fuse or connector. Thanks for the suggestion regarding pulling the F42 fuse. I made a note of this on the fuse cover

My 61 f100 had the same thing but we called it the choke. Pull it out a little in 4low just to bump the rpms up a little

Thanks for the link but didn't notice the ease of removal being addressed. I plan to get a rampage lift for those times when I will be towing the Gladiator behind a RV and carrying my goldwing in the back. The wing will need all the bed length possible.
