  1. What weight gear oil???

Interesting that it only stipulates to change the diff fluid for "police, taxi, fleet, offroad and trailer-tow" applications. One could argue this verbiage suggests the gear oil is otherwise implied to be a lifetime fluid with no maintenance interval. (There is no such thing as a lifetime fluid...
  2. HPFP Replacement Recall - Post Fix Review

Did you check the sediment in the fuel filter to see if it was metallic? Algae is commonly mistaken for metal shavings and is very similar in appearance to what you’ve posted.
  3. How much longer do I have?

The pictures you’ve shown are debris outside of your filter, which means it’s coming from the tank end, not the pump end. Pump debris would only be INSIDE your filter element.
  4. New canopy camper

With all the running around I’ve done in AZ/NM/UT etc I’ve never noticed any dust or debris with my explorer and tailgate get beyond the tailgate itself. It certainly isn’t air tight, but they seem to have done a great job with it. If they made the explorer with a built in pop top, I’d buy that...
  5. 2024 Jeep Gladiator debuts with new grille, interior, more options and upper trim levels

Hey Jeep! We don't need all this. Just give us a dependable manual transmission and the 3.0 Hurricane from the wagoneer (ideally together). I won't even ask you to built the J6 anymore! (although you really should)
  6. New Mopar Lift Kits w/ Bilstein Shock Part Numbers

I used the Alloy USA 61001 Suspension Leveling Kit, Front, 1.5 Inch Lift and SuperSprings SSF-401-54 to resolve this issue. The SumoSprings replace the factory bump stop and act as a progressive bump stop. Never went in for the TSB. Stock diesel sport S springs, rubicon fox takeoff shocks. Also...
  7. Owners thoughts please

At first I wanted a manual JT (still do! just not with the 3.6). Drove that and quickly realized that the 3.6 was adequate in my JKUR, but not so much with the JT. Hello downshifting to 3rd to pass on the interstate entrance ramps! Figured the new auto might help the 3.6, so gave that a go...
  8. To Gladiator or not to Gladiator

Ive put ~40k on my ecodiesel sport s JT in just about every state and condition in CONUS over the last 2 years. Its a fantastic highway vehicle and I use EDT with every tank. Totally stock, I was able to average low 30s at 55-60mph and flat. At 65-70 I was closer to 28 and at 80 I was around 22...
  9. DIESEL ONLY: How long has your fuel pump lasted?

Dealerships are prohibited from selling new cars with open recalls. The '22 and '23 have the same exact issues, they just won't add them to the recall list until there aren't any brand new ones left unsold. If there was a fix available, this wouldn't be an issue. Because there is no fix yet...
  10. Diesel fuel filter- is this normal? (pics)

I must have bad luck with stations because I rarely go to the same one twice and always go to high volume places (mostly truck stops) to avoid stale diesel.
  11. Diesel fuel filter- is this normal? (pics)

I’ve never had the same diesel in it for more than a week to 10 days so I’m assuming this is from fuel that has sat in a station’s tank for awhile, but it seems to accurately describe my situation
  12. Diesel fuel filter- is this normal? (pics)

Just updating this with an answer I received on a different forum
  13. Diesel fuel filter- is this normal? (pics)

Nope- the truck rarely gets filled up at the same pump twice. Lots of cross country and long highway duty for it.
  14. Diesel fuel filter- is this normal? (pics)

I've religiously changed my fuel filter at 15k mile intervals. This is the third one I've installed (OEM) and each time, there is sediment present on the top of the filter. Its always the same amount and same texture/color. It does not appear to be attractive to a magnet and has the consistency...
  15. Poopy pants? Help fix my saggy @$$

Agreed- you can't beat a crank up, full pop RTT. I've spent about 150 nights in mine now and my only real complaint is that all 4 mesh corners are starting to fray from rubbing against the unfinished fiberglass, regardless of how carefully I tuck them in when putting it down. Really good tent...
  16. Poopy pants? Help fix my saggy @$$

I have a 165lb hardshell RTT and the alucab canopy plus roughly 150lbs of gear in the bed. I added the airlift bags inside of my rear springs and have about 35k miles with them. They’re the single best modification I’ve made. Completely transform the handling for ~$100 and a relatively easy hour...
  17. Jeep Releases Off Road Group for Gladiator Sport

the problem is that a lot of us with earlier Jeeps are running 15” or 16” wheels and don’t want to run spacers to accommodate the newer bolt pattern OEM 17s. My JT came with decent A/Ts and I still opted to sell them over putting them on my LJ. only got $160 for all 5 tires after 3 weeks of...
  18. Jeep Releases Off Road Group for Gladiator Sport

I would rather see a package for the sport with HD wide axles with the cast nuckles, 4.10s and a rear locker
  19. NOx code, egr replace @29k

I'm very realistic about the prospect of a GM designed, italian built diesel in a fca-peugeot plastic jeep and bough the max care 125k warranty early on. The ecodiesel tended to have the most issues in the full sized trucks and less so in the grand cherokees, but I agree, the design of the...
  20. NOx code, egr replace @29k

There was a software update relating to the def injection, which i believe was listed as a recall. It was done at the time of this repair, so no reflash prior to the failure. I wanted real world input on the new software before having it done after seeing how drastically a software refresh...
