It seems like something is wrong if you're getting 11 mpg on a stock Mojave only weighed down a bit by a metal bumper and winch. Were you able to keep the skid plate? When my stock Mojave was new, I could not get better than 15 mpg. After about 7K miles it crept up to 17 mpg. Now, with 17K...
Only applies to new vehicles. Has nothing to do with used vehicles, inspections, or emission testing. .....and for new vehicles, it is an average, so it they have plenty of EV's or Hybrids they are selling, than that gas mileage will offset the gas guzzlers, so they will be in compliance...
I wonder if it's the update. I recently updated to the newest update and now only the live functions work. Every time I try to set the tire size, it says, "Try Again." Can't get it to stick.
Mine is pretty quiet at 75 mph, but if it’s windy, it gets noisy and if I roll down the driver window, the top buffets so bad sometimes, I have to close all the windows.
Stock Mojave with LED’s. I get flashed all of the time. Had a 4Runner with a 3 inch lift and (almost) 33’s. Never got flashed from the front, but I knew I was pissing off people with the lights barreling into the back window of the cars in front of me. Tried fixing it multiple times.
2021 Mojave. Metal clinking noise started at 5K mikes. Thought something was loose. At 10K miles took it in for an oil change and had them check it out. Really sounded like a loose bolt. They said the rear shocks are bad and both sides are leaking. That’s where the noise is coming from. They...
Wow. Looks just like a NATO building in Germany along with those trees. Although, there wasn’t to many Camaros in Germany. That should have been a clue. My squad leader had a yellow 78 Camaro LT in Germany, though. The only one I ever saw over there in the 80’s.
I’d do it. Unless you really need a pick up bed. Nice thing about XR’s is there is not a lot of upgrades to do after the purchase. Looks like it already comes with the steel bumpers too.
That picture looks a lot like mine taken from German NATO bases back in the 80’s. Is that what I’m looking at? A picture of your wife taken from your Army post back in the 80’s?
LED, 8.4 radio premium sound, aux switches are a must. I have tow, but don't tow, but is nice to have the upgraded alt and cooling. I have the safety group and like it. My ex had the adaptive cruise (advanced safety) in her vehicle and I hated using it. Guess I couldn't get used to the truck...
First tour in the Army, the go to for my buddies and I was pulling Wild Turkey 101 out of the freezer. If we didn’t want to hit it hard right away, Jim Beam and Dr. Pepper. Surprising how it tastes like a tootsie roll.
Now a days - Bulliet Rye or if I want to splurge, Red Breast Irish Whiskey...
I have 13,000 or so miles on my Mojave. Driving home last night I was trying to be aware of the down shifting after commenting on this post. If I let off of the gas coming up to a red light, no braking, it still downshifts all the way down to 2nd gear and then break for the light. It still...
It's most likely down shifting when you let off of the gas. When mine was new, I could let my foot off of the gas and it would downshift almost to a crawl. The gears have loosened up since then and I can coast. Couldn't coast when it was new.
Mine just started doing this today after having the Gladiator since March. The Tazer has been installed since June. Today, every stop light I stopped at, the radio volume went to max. It did it once I came to a complete stop. It did it whether or not the auto start activated or not. It did it...
If you still have the top. I'm interested. Leaving Friday morning for Vegas. Have an Army buddy I'm staying with in Henderson. Let me know where to meet up if you still have it.
Personally, BMW drivers are the worst. Having owned a V8 4Runner for 18 years (This truck could move quick), never noticed the modded Taco Turds as an issue until I traded in my 4Runner for a Mojave. Definitely notice aggressive driving toward me from some of them.
