There are a lot of trails in Beasley knob. There is even some primitive camping. It can suffer from closures if it rains too much. During the week it will likely be pretty dead, weekend probably not. If it is dry you should be able to do everything with the rigs you mentioned. If it is wet there...
Looks great Steve. Now how are you feeling about the 4.10s? Once you set the tire size appropriately and let it learn the shifting I think you'll find it is very liveable.
Looks great, gorgeous color!!!😜
Yes, I did go through CO. It's not a big deal unless you are worried about how long you are in 8th gear. When in hills the Jeep does a lot of shifting. Maybe you fell like it is a 7 speed transmission instead of 8. IMHO It's not the monster some make it out to be. Ymmv
I do, just got back from North GA. Step climbs, limiting factor was traction.
I've done step climbs in Moab with 4.10 and 37s and aev 2in lift. The truck is a beast. Like I said on another post, would 4.88 be better? Sure, but so would the 4:1 transfer case instead of my 2.72:1. But it is not...
I've been running 37s on Mojave with 4.10 gears for about a year. Went to Moab last fall and ran a lot of trails no problem. Would 4.88 be better, sure but so would 4:1 transfer case. It's not a big deal, if YOU find it is, you can regear or go back to 35s. Which many will tell you should be on...
I did not use any correction brackets. But I did install the longer Mopar lcas. It is very difficult to measure any difference from my stock lcas, but I installed them anyway. Keep rides and drives same as it did before the lift and lcas. Don't know anything about the springs.
Never had any problems with mine until off roading in water below freezing temps around 45K miles and one shock started leaking. The steering stabilizer also blew a seal from this off road session. Up until then, handle great, ride great, no complaints. Had them rebuilt, no leaks, no...
I think it depends on what you are trying to do. If just tooling around with no real schedule to keep Gaia and OnX work well as they offer lots of roads/trails without a lot of information about them. Thus, you can explore and figure it out as you go. But sometimes people are on a little bit of...
I went with these originally because of the ease of removal for trail use. But the reality is sometimes you need them on for the trail and would have to stop and take them off. Thus, I just run mine on the trails all the time. I am completely amazed at the durability of these flaps. They are...
I run the AEV 2" spacer lift. While only two inches it is probably one of the easiest and least expensive ways to get the long wheel base Gladiator to be more capable in the rocks and mud. Obviously, you can spend a lot more money and get a bigger and better lift. But you paid for those shocks...
I actually did not cut out the center of the outside plastic skin. I shimmed the bumper winch plate out just a little bit and the plate sits just inside the skin like the metal of the bumper that I cut out did. This helps to support the ends.

Soft top on no rear window and no doors in the summer, nice to have the shade from the top. Once fall hits the top and doors come off and stay that way through spring. Hard top is quick on and off with a lift and doors are nothing at all to put on and off. Never put the hinge bolts in.
Fun times!!!
White was really a light grey in leather, very cool look and great for the summers and other times of the year with the top off or on to keep things cooler.
Love my light grey leather seats in the Mojave. One of the main reasons I went Mojave over Rubicon. Now had I realized Katskins (sp?) were as nice as they are I might have gone the other way. But I love the orange ascents, hood, and the ride too!! But I think the leather option also gives you...
None of the other mid size trucks can remove the doors and roof!!!!!!!!! It is a unique, fun, mid size truck that I love. And I take it off road, not just sand or gravel roads but rocks and obstacles. Most other mid size truck owners won't get off the sand or gravel. Just my opinion of course!!
