Do they make a top that combines the bed and seating area of JT into one section that isnt seperate? And/or does it have a slant in the back like picture inlcuded? It looks fast/Aerodynamic. ^.^

Also in this picture what is the bar in front of passenger door? From Fender to the Rock Rails?

I've never seen one. But you could make one with a factory soft top and a soft topper. Heating and cooling the inside would be difficult.

The vehicle shown is a custom modified JK where the tub is all one piece going from cabin to cargo area, whereas a JT has a separate cab and bed. Because of this you'd also need to address the gap between the cab and bed... it's not so simple as to install a one piece top coving it all.

Found the vehicle in question. No mention of what purpose was in mind for the tube from the fender to rock rail in front of the door, and oddly enough there's only the one on the passenger side.

It won't work.
That's a 2-door "troopy" style setup (essentially a 4WD van), if you try to put one canopy from the windshield to the tailgate you will still have a big gap between the bed and the cab that will grab dust and spray.

Didn’t they release that in Africa or Middle East somewhere? Called it a J-8 didn’t they? 2 door on an unlimited body and frame. Always wanted one of those.

Ya, I just more really like the slant of the soft, oh agreed about keeping it all heated - Just thought a cool concept and didnt know if anyone know of tops being sold now that were similar.

Still very interested in the bar on the passenger side fender to rockrail haha.

I think those would be called a "safari top" or similar, wouldn't they? I think that's what the Land Cruiser & Defender people call them.

Back in the 90's I had a CJ-8. At the time Smittybuilt had a hard top for the whole jeep from front to back. I know there were full soft tops as well but cant remember who made them.

As there were for a while, CJ-8 type kits for JK's, don't know if they made JL versions before they went out of business. I would assume, some softy manufacture made tops for them.

I had a CJ-8 as well with a full length soft top (Bestop?) but they have a one piece body.
