Ha! Lunge into the Jeep! Thatās where I am. Perfect description of how itās done!
I have a set of RSE automatic steps that Iām putting on soon. Hoping they will be the ticket to balance what Iām looking for on and off road.
Looks good. Iāve got a set of factory Mopar tubular steps on a stock sport and I find that the step is a little too high and makes getting in an out awkward to the point that I donāt really use the steps. Also, I find that when I do use them I frequently kick the paint on the door sill...
Iām located in Waynesboro, VA. I have one for sale but it has the sensor holes. Not sure if youāre absolute on not having those (blanking plugs?) It doesnāt have lights or hitch electronics. Itās in great shape.
You are right on the mark with your info here. Looks like the scammers are expanding operations. I hope the Admins are updating the warning at the top of the forum to reflect this new information. The scam is morphing into a way more believable scenario if you donāt know the signs and red flags.
Sorry they got you. I just saw this and it appears whoever is hacking these accounts is using the same brand lights in their scam. Seems like Baja designs lights are the bait they need to get us. I fell for a similar scam.
Thank you all for the insights, advice, and opinions on things. Iāve read through all the responses so far and there is some good stuff in there. Iām not giving up, but it sure is hard to pursue this small amount of money given all the other things Iām putting my energy into. I hate to let it...
yes, this is correct, Iām just looking to get adminās to look at data and see if they see anything they can take action onā¦or point me in a direction to help me recover the money.
Yeah, probably was jacked. I was just thinking the inactivity came from selling the jeep and had stuff laying around...wasn't really thinking scam. I've always had good luck on this, and other like minded, forums. Thanks for your input.
It was tied to my bank account with Zelle. BofA. I might be able to get some satisfaction with them. Thanks for the suggestion. I agree that paying a small fee worth it. Dang hindsight :-)
Drama. You want it, I got it! Here's a thanksgiving tale of woe about two guys and a forum member who scammed us at the same time.
I'd love to find out who it is and get our money back. $500 each! Ouch.
A recent post in in the member market place by Rex3rd (now banned from this forum)...
I wonder if he was banned because I used the report button to report suspicious activity in this thread, another where he was selling tires, and a private email thread between us.
Iāll be contacting Admins to see if they can help get back in touch with him. Thinking of posting another thread...
Agreed. I looked at his stats and scores before doing this deal because of the scam warnings on the forum now which are very prevalent. His scores are way above mine, and I really felt like he was on the level. At this point I havenāt heard from him since Nov 17th! And looking back there are...
Iāve now had a similar experience. Changed Zelle account on me, wanted videos of me logging into my account to prove I sent money, unresponsive now that I have sent money. It was for some Baja design lights that I think you responded to as well. Was that where you had the experience with him...
