Looks good. I’ve got a set of factory Mopar tubular steps on a stock sport and I find that the step is a little too high and makes getting in an out awkward to the point that I don’t really use the steps. Also, I find that when I do use them I frequently kick the paint on the door sill because the step is close to the body.
These look like the step would be a little lower but maybe still not low enough. Wonder how they are to use.
I bought the GORHINO Dominator D6 steps and added the drop steps to them. They are solid enough but not meant for offroading. The drop steps help my wife and kids but is still awkward for me (6ft tall) so I just lunge into the jeep.

Ha! Lunge into the Jeep! That’s where I am. Perfect description of how it’s done!
I have a set of RSE automatic steps that I’m putting on soon. Hoping they will be the ticket to balance what I’m looking for on and off road.

Just finished up the painless install

Great mix of form and function

Took around 4 weeks from ordering to delivery

Install took around 1.5 hours

I slid the Rails as far forward as possible to act as a quasi- mud flap

Only technical* aspect was using a grinder cut off wheel to remove the unneeded forward passenger frame jig bracket and touching up the frame paint with a rustoleum rattle can.

All frame mount locations had either oem bolts, welded in nuts or used the LOD flag* nuts included populated into oem holes in the frame.

Have them on my Wrangler Rubicon JL and I am very happy with them. They went through some tough trails and handled it flawlessly. Second set is sitting in the garage, waiting for my Gladiator.

I shimmed mine out another quarter inch with solid metal stock that I made to look just like there 1/16” shims giving me around 3/4” gap. They have been through some abuse and no body damage.
Any pics? Did it change the bolt holes?

I saw a video of Armor-Lite on Rubicon Trail and they didn't fare well.
Oh hey ! That was me. And no, they really didn't. Got the Destoryers on there now but will likely have to shim them out a bit and I do need to touch up some spots where the aluminum ones did hit the rocket panels.

How does the LOD powder coat hold up to the elements?
Took about 4 years for my LoD tire carrier on my TJ to start surface rusting pretty bad. I'm not knocking them though, it was super stout and most of these 3rd party companies powder coat jobs are garbage.

I painted some other pieces I installed at the same time with some good surface prep, primer and rustoleum and they held up better.

Got mine delivered the other day. Install is slow at best LOL. I ended up tack welding the carriage bolts the backing plates to hold them together. My issue is clearance. Once I had the passenger side bolted in, they were making contact with the body at the rear and had maybe 1/4-3/8 of clearance between the slider and the length of the body. I had to shim the center mount down about 1/8" to keep it from hitting the body (both the frame bolt and 2 smaller body mount bolts). Here's a pic of the center mount once I got it shimmed and bolted in place. I'll have to get longer carriage bolts if I use their shims to get the rear away from the body.

It looked like a PITA to follow the instructions

I went ahead and fully assembled the rail and mount before mounting

How much do they weigh? Anyone know how much the oem rails weigh?

I read lod is about 137lbs for both...and oem are around 65lbs

Just trying to get and idea what my payload difference would be if they numbers unread are accurate
