I did have to remove the plastic cubby tray that sits on the floor behind the back seat. Its a snug fit when the seat is folded down but it works fine.
I used 165 Access Focals and the PSB 200 sub behind rear seats. The sub is 4 ohm and I plan on adding another bridged to get them to 2 ohm. That will bring me to 10 speakers. Yup LOVE it now!
I upgraded all of my speakers and added a Sub and a AudioControl LC 5-1300( installed unde front seat on stinger mount. I used a PAC solely to avoided cutting into factory harness. I also ran all new heavy gauge speaker wire.
I figured out one of the reasons I’m not as impressed with the sound quality as I thought I would be. My sub isn’t putting out any sound. Gonna have to do some troubleshooting.
The sound system is definitely night and day from stock. My initial impression is it could be "better" I read that there is a break in period on the speakers. I think I might see if a professional tuner can make a difference after logging some hours on them. The crossovers are set at -3 and +3...
Alrighty then! Finally finished my install. First off thanks to all who contributed info for my install especially Chocolyle. If you ever find yourself at the Jersey shore lunch is on me! Quick recap. All focal speaker install full dash and sound bar. Total of 9 speakers including the sub and a...
Got it. It only has one set of connections. Got everything hooked up but the amp doesn’t power on. I was expecting it to auto turn on with the speaker line feed. Does your power light on the amp only turn on when in use or as soon as it was hooked up to 12v?
Thanks once again! I think i screwed myself though! Since I was going with all Focal product and saw that Focal had a slim Sub that I could just slide behind the rear seat and be done with it, I ordered it. Its currently in transit. I see that the 5th channel is 2 ohms, the Focal sub is 4 ohms...
Almost done with the install. My oem stereo didn’t have a sub. Where do I pull the signal to connect to the LC 5 1300 for the sub? Thanks your insights have been invaluable!!
Great info thank you so much! I bought a Blaupunkt kit for the 0 gauge it was fairly inexpensive. It came with an inline fuse but in watching a few install videos it seemed that nobody was using one. Better safe than sorry I guess. Thanks again!!
