I mounted a Curt front receiver hitch on my '21 Mojave. I had to adjust the Hitch and resevoir mounts for mount bolt clearance then cut out the metal skid plate
It's been a couple years, but I mounted a Curt front receiver hitch on my '21 Mojave. I removed the reservoir mounts and "adjusted"...
Yep, just doing what they do in commercials, but got lucky I guess! ? Sharing my experience here in case others having issues too and not responsibly driving through water at slow speeds! ?
PDC, likely 10-15 or 20 mph, wave came over the top of the Gladiator. Goosed it just before entering the puddle. Quite fun till the Gladiator died at work! ?
Took my JLU through a foot deep puddle at speed. Water was forced up into the engine bay and flooded the power module. Everything worked for a month or two until the power module corroded enough to kill the engine. $1200 repair bill to replace the power module. Needless to say, I don't cross...
Yes! But only outside pics, I didn't take any during the install and its too tight to get my camera up behind the brush guard. I purchased a Curt Trailer Hitch #31086 from Autozone. I did have to remove the shock resevoir mounts and notch/trim them and reinstall so the hitch would fit. Also...
I nstalled the Mopar switch per instructions and moved the lighter socket to the small change cubby on the right-side. Made a small plate to cover the cubby and provide a mounting surface for the 12v outlet. The Mopar brake controller doesn't provide as much brake engagement as the aftermarket...
Yeah, that's why I went with a front receiver hitch and 8k winch on a Hitch plate. The winch rides in the bed under the tonneau cover until needed and then only when heading out into the wilderness. The stock tires/suspension does what I need it to do.
I suspect if you put 255's on your JT you'd have similar performance to your rover pushing through the snow. Or air your larger wider JT tires down as others have said so your JT floats. ?
Thx all, I appreciate the feedback! I used a marine electric oil change pump I have for my diesel boat motor. Guess I'll get a spare gasket for next time. :)
Changed the diff fluids this last weekend and noticed there's no drain plug on my front diff. Looks like there's a place for on on the bottom, but it's solid metal. Just curious... ?
You know you want one, so just do it! I recommend adding the Gobi Stealth Rack for carrying gear on top. I use mine for water and winter sports equipment, surfboards, windsurfers, kayak, etc. Also recommend one of the models with the 4.10 gear ratio: Rubicon, Mojave, or Max Tow - not sure if...
Update: after two more visits to my dealer, they updated my software in June 2023 with a December 2022 update that addresses P0300. Fast forward to August while traveling through Canada, my CEL went crazy and engine started running super rough. Had to leave my Gladiator at the dealer in Canada...
Our Nucamp T@B pulls nicely behind our JT and is the same width, so we can go in almost any parking lot and the truck/trailer fits in all tandem parking spaces. It has a queen size bed that doubles as a U shaped sofa with a pop up table. AC, Refrigerator, sink, stovetop, bathroom with shower...
Yeah, most likely. I'll see what the dealership finds out in a few days, hopefully they find something actually wrong and it isnt a simple CEL reset, no faults found. ?
Thank you for the advice! I'm really leaning toward a lemon law action based on the history to-date. No faults found several times in the shop then physical engine damage, then no faults found/software update, and now likely engine damage again. Terrified of a no faults found/software update...
No. Jeep is in Cranbrook - super helpful team but busy. Visiting Waterton Park for a couple days then heading home to Tacoma. Will need to fly back to Cranbrook to pickup my Gladiator when it's complete. ?
33k miles, engine light on at 700 miles, multiple dealer ts events, cams and lifters replaced earlier this year and software update afteer that, just left my Gladiator at a Canadian Jeep dealer mid-trip to Waterton Park from Tacoma area with check engine light going crazy and Gladiator engine...
