  1. Thoughts on Removing the Plastic Air Dam

I took mine off to do some front end work and drove it for awhile like that. Does seem to affect mpg's. I'm mostly stock, so I'll put it back on.
  2. Water intrusion Freedom panel question

That is actually a good idea. Putting that on my to do list.
  3. Water intrusion Freedom panel question

Interesting. Yes, it was parked with the back sloped down. Seems to track. Water must pool somewhere at that angle, then find it's way in when taking off.
  4. Water intrusion Freedom panel question

I usually keep my Gladiator in the garage, but last night it was outside, and we had torrential rain come through. This morning I get in and start to drive off and water starts pouring out from where the rearview mirror attaches. I have had my panels off maybe 2 times, and that was at least a...
  5. O

LOL. And I spent 40 years in the grocery business! Too much wine tonight. Good thing I wasn't an accountant.
  6. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

I just rechecked. Me too. Ecodiesel, just in case anybody is wondering if we caught a break on this one.
  7. O

Took me a minute... It's not the name, it's the fact that it's 48oz and says 3lb.
  8. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

Well, if I gotta take mine in, I might as well let them fix the paint bubbles at the same time!
  9. Hello, I'm Mud Pie and I'm a Completist

So that's the name for this condition. I got it from my dad. He was all in on whatever hobby he was in. Taking pictures with a camera? Why not learn to develop your film? Shoot guns? Have to reload all your ammo. The list goes on and on....
  10. Come on JEEP!!

Not knowing sometimes is a good thing. Before I got my iBanks gauge, I never knew if I was in regen except at times I would get home and when in park the idle seemed a little higher, and the engine smelled "hot". Turning the engine off during a regen is no big deal, unless you're only doing...
  11. O

LOL. The original check engine light.
  12. What’s worn out faster than you expected?

Pretty sure it's tie rod, but I'm future proofing it with all Steer Smart parts to eliminate any weak points. Sometimes the shotgun approach is easier.
  13. What’s worn out faster than you expected?

Steering components. Started getting death wobble on the highway at only 33,000 miles. No off roading.
  14. Warranty - Long Block Replacement

Geez, and I thought us Eco-diesel guys had things to worry about...
  15. What's this new Hunter Virus they are talking about???

It happens in the fall. A lot of people get buck fever during it... :)
  16. S&B cold air intake test and dyno

I think most OEM engineers of modern vehicles design the intakes to be pretty efficient. I watched a similar video from KC Turbos, I think, where they test OEM, 6637 open filter, and S&B on a 7.3 Powerstroke. The S&B actually did give more flow and horsepower, dispelling the old thought that the...
  17. Tie rod ends replacement time

I'm new to Jeeps, but I usually subscribe to the "build back better" theory. I've been experiencing some death wobble lately, so, my research lead me to replacing my steering components with all Steer Smarts parts. Man, they are massive! Do I need all that for how I use my truck? No, but I'm...
  18. Intake manifolds missing

This is probably true, and cheaper for those of us that already have his Stage 1. Just hate waiting for years and XX amount of miles to qualify for it.
