I tried this a few years ago also. My dealer told me it would be $500. When I explained that my original ECU was fine, and I just wanted a clone, they said they could only make me an ECU that would replace mine. In other words, they are only set up to use your VIN to reproduce an ECU in case of...
I set up 2 screens. My main one shows if regen is off or pas. As I switched back and forth between screens one day as the engine was in regen I noticed it flipping back and forth like that. Don't know if the read out on both screens have the same parameters or not. Will have to check.
I bought an extended warranty just because I was new to Jeeps and didn't know if they were reliable. I also have a JTRD and love it. Almost at 50k miles now and the only issues I've had were NOT engine related. (front end). Unfortunately, even if I used the warranty to fix said front end...
Going hunting with my dad (1978) in his friend's Jeep. Late 40's, early 50's model. Took the back roads as it didn't go past 50 mph.
Got hooked on Jeeps ever since.
I termed it "mild" based on videos I've seen. It does shake the front end and steering wheel, and won't stop until 40mph or so, but not the crap your pants wobbles I've seen.
2022 diesel Sport S.
All stock, 90% highway driven.
Started mild "Death Wobble" at around 33,000 miles at highway speeds hitting pot holes.
I read through the top sticky and have a pretty good idea on what to look for.
Big question is; what brands do folks recommend when upgrading suspension...
Have you found out what it was yet?
I just replaced my heavy Firestone MT tires with more stock-like Bridgestone AT Asents, and my death wobble came back. At highway speeds when I hit a pot hole or big expansion joint.
Probable going to take it to the alignment shop that I trust.
Waco TX area. Just took my wife in to work. I-35 isn't bad, the slow lane is mostly dry. It's the side roads that are slick.
The sun is out and starting to melt the sleet sheet a little, but the bad news is, it is still below freezing tonight, so it may be really icy tomorrow morning.
Mine started doing that last year with only about 33,000 miles on it. Only happened when I had the stock Bridgestone Duelers on it. I would swap out when taking long highway trips. Usually had the Firestone MT's on it. Doesn't happen with the heavier MT's. I also just discovered my front shocks...
Yes, just that one ground. It was the easiest way to disconnect the aux. I've seen video's where all the wiring was removed, but I wanted to keep it simple in case I needed to go back to stock, or something didn't work.
It looks like you have the Ecodiesel. It would be the one with that yellow/black tag on it. It should also have the larger "tab" that connects to the battery. I just taped mine up real good and zip tied it back away from the battery. Pulled the 42 fuse and left everything intact. Been like that...
Finally got around to installing my Rough Country power steps. Holy crap, that took some effort. Even with a car lift! I don't go off road very much, so they are perfect for me. The step up into the cab is just right.
I put the GDE tune on last year, and like it. I have only done one oil analysis so far, and it did show a little fuel dilution, but nothing extreme. I change oil every 5000 miles anyway, so I don't see that as an issue. Excited to hear about the Afterlife tune GDE offers. After all the trouble...
