  1. O

Ah yes, 18 years old, slightly inebriated, and listening to 2112 on quadraphonic speakers!
  2. Is this normal on a Mojave X -- high pitch whine noise?

You should hear the weird noises coming out of an Eco-Diesel when it starts up...
  3. Low Ash Oil That Meets Spec?

It sucks that we have to choose between 2 evils. Older diesels like my 2002 7.3 are so much easier to maintain.
  4. FINALLY saw my first corrosion case yesterday.

No, no cracks. It starts on the bottom edge/seam and starts working upward. The bubbling on the tailgate keeps getting bigger with time.

  6. Low Ash Oil That Meets Spec?

I started using what Rusty PW uses. I will post an oil analyst when i change it. There is a thread on here discussing this if you want to read through all the pages.
  7. FINALLY saw my first corrosion case yesterday.

What sucks is, I don't buy new very often. The last was the 1993 Chevy Silverado, and it had paint issues too!
  8. FINALLY saw my first corrosion case yesterday.

The picture may not be the best. It's bubbling just like my tailgate, BUT, the hood was clean 6 months ago. I'm considering waiting to see if more pops up. I still have almost 2 years left before the 5 year warranty limit.
  9. FINALLY saw my first corrosion case yesterday.

    2022 Sport S. 38,000 miles. Garage kept.
  10. FINALLY saw my first corrosion case yesterday.

Crap. Just went out and did a wash and check before taking to the dealer. Got a spot starting on the edge of the hood too.
  11. FINALLY saw my first corrosion case yesterday.

I also owned a 1993 Chevy Silverado that had the paint flaking on the hood. It was a maroon color, which I don't know if that made a difference, but I see trucks of that year range of different colors that have no paint issues. Point is, pain't issues have been going on for a long time among...
  12. FINALLY saw my first corrosion case yesterday.

Oh yeah. The old adage of "trust, but verify" applies to forums. And I'm not so sure about the "trust" sometimes!
  13. FINALLY saw my first corrosion case yesterday.

I've got some on the bottom of my tailgate. Getting ready to take it in and start the process. I've got a pretty good dealer, so we'll see how it goes.
  14. I'm joining the "aux battery won't charge" club. Should I just delete it?

Loved my 1993 Chevy Silverado (except the crappy transmission they put in it, rebuilt 3 times). Had almost 300,000 miles on that 5.0 before giving it to my SIL.
  15. I'm joining the "aux battery won't charge" club. Should I just delete it?

Pulling the F42 fuse just forces the startup test to look at the Main Battery instead of the Aux Battery. I just followed what I read here, (dangerous I know), but it's working.
  16. I'm joining the "aux battery won't charge" club. Should I just delete it?

The aux battery is there (in my understanding) to stabilize the computer electronics during a stop/start event, (although many other vehicles do it with only one battery). If you don't use, and/or have disabled the stop/start "feature" not having the aux battery is fine, although I can't speak...
  17. Jeep Gladiator Corrosion TSB Disaster

Damn. I'm more worried about bringing mine in now. The paint bubbles are the only issue I've had in the 3 years of ownership.
  18. Rotella after delete

Green Diesel Engineering runs Rotella in their diesels, and that's with a Stage 1 EPA legal tune.
  19. Key Fob, Likes = Dislikes Poll

This. Love my Threedom fob. I actually like having the key separate.
