Hello everyone. First, I’d like to thank everyone who helped me with my last issue with the missing setting to measure the soot level.

Unfortunately, the truck I bought has some gremlins. It came with the powered step rock rails. They were nonfunctioning from the dealership. The wires were broken, so I started to rewire them a little at a time. Apparently that was a mistake and they killed the battery.

I jumped it, and oddly enough, the aforementioned soot level showed up in the Banks IDash. lol.
I did not drive the truck. I hooked up a battery tender that was brand new out of the box the next morning the battery was dead again. (at this point, I turned off the side steps.). Unfortunately, the battery tender was faulty out of the box and was only putting out 6 V. Long story, but unfortunately, it took the battery down to 6 V multiple times.

At this point, I had a bunch of check engine lights, mostly relating to battery voltage there was one that was permanent however it is still coming up on my scanner, but does not trigger a light something about improbable voltage with the canbus.

Now my region cycles seem to be off on the gauge

it’s constantly flickering between off and passive rapidly
Sometimes it just says off when I know I should be in passive
(Soot level goes down) and then I tried to drive it very gently till it went into an active regen. This worked as normal as the levels plummeted quickly however, the gauge just rapidly switched between active and passive.

Sorry for the long winded story, but trying to put as many details as possible has anyone experienced anything like this?

I did not get a video of cruising on the highway when I should be in passive and it’s saying that it is not in regen

Both of those are normal. Nothing to worry about.
Depending on speed, engine load, engine temp, exhaust temp, throttle position. Determines if it's Pas or Off. When it regen. The samething applies.

Passive regen often happens during cruising at light engine load, doesn't matter whether you're going 40 or 80 mph. Light engine load is the key.

I set up 2 screens. My main one shows if regen is off or pas. As I switched back and forth between screens one day as the engine was in regen I noticed it flipping back and forth like that. Don't know if the read out on both screens have the same parameters or not. Will have to check.
