Technically you could say its 21" of travel like the engineer stated as the wheel can "travel" 21" from lowest to highest point. But when doing a comparison of Suspension Travel to other high speed off road desert trucks its not the same comparison.
Yep on a SFA articulation is different from the standard wheel travel. On IFS its measured from full droop to full compression, with IFS since the wheels are independent the measurement is just that the overall travel. On a SFA its different and each side is limited to how much it can compress...
I doubt that's correct. For example, the Raptor has 11-12" of travel and Trophy Trucks have around 20-24" of wheel travel. That might be the case for articulation but I doubt it for up/down travel.
Still no travel numbers ???????? For those of you interested in desert running, why are none of you interested in travel numbers?
My guess is that it's the same as a Rubicon but with better shocks.
My wife and I are the same. Fully sperate accounts. I make double what she does so I pay the house payment and utilities and insurances, she pays for groceries, her car, and own CC. It works out great. When she needs help with expenses I just transfer money.
Vendors should have some stealth billing names that show up on the credit card receipt like "Fluffy Friends Charity" similar to strip club ATMs (not that I know anything about that).
Sorry guys didn't read all 10 pages of this thread but did anyone see actual suspension travel numbers? I'm curious if this actually has more travel over the Rubicon.
You should go and see if a Diesel JL is on the lots yet. Will give you and idea of the power and also drive a V6 Gladiator to get a feel for the handling. Make sure to do a freeway test and get it up to 70 MPH, as Freeway and around town are a lot different.
I think if you do that and compare...
I have been on here since day one and was die-hard going to get the Gladiator to replace my 2013 JKU Rubicon, however like you I was waiting for the diesel as the V6 just wasn't doing it for me anymore. Mix in the fact (like you) I'm into Overlanding and not rock crawling and that there are some...
I really dont understand why ARE and Snugtop cant make a cap where the roof flips out over the cab into a tent like the GoFast Camper. If they could do that for $3,500 or less they would sell a shit ton.
So is Idaho ;)
OT ... do you think you can fit a Raptor on your trip? Looks tight but the guys from TFL had a Raptor follow them over Black Bear Pass. I'm still debating on a Raptor or JT Diesel.
This. I really would like to see AIRE/SNUGTOP/ETC ... you know the normal bed cover companies come out with their version of the GoFast Camper top. I really like GFC but one its a 2 year wait (no thanks) and two I hate how the shape is generic and doesn't meet up with the cab. To me from a...
