Hardest part about the sound bar is removing the center mount light without snapping the brackets! I did and its now mounted witha 4”x4” sq of hd velkro.
I started with 2 CT sounds Meso 6.5’s, then to a Gately Audio box and 2 Sundown SA 6.5’s…. The mesos were not good….. looked beefy as hell, but its all looks. Made as cheaply as Skar… blew a coil on one in less than a month on RMS rated power.
Got the Fox box, running a DC Audio Level 2 10”...
Finally finished and am happy for now. 22 Gladiator, CT Sounds 3 way Meso’s up front, 2way meso’s in the sound bar, and a DC Audio Level 2 10” sub in a Fox Acoustics vented box. 600w to the sub and 150 x 4 to the seperates.
started with 2 6.5” Meso subs in pre fabs, then 2 Sundown SA 6.5” in...
https://www.gatelyaudio.com/collections/jeep/products/jeep-gladiator-2-x-8 You have this option too. I have a gately box currently, I can say its extremely over build and rock solid. There is a youtuber called Jeep and Bass that literally runs his box over with his cherokee multiple times and...
Agreed, I used the pods for the CT Sounds Meso 3 way seperates, while its a deep chassis mid bass... its a mid bass, so I imagine any sub would be too deep and too wide at the magnet. Several people like their powered mini subs that install under the driver / passenger and leave the rear open.
Im thinking of going active on the front stage. my crossovers are picking up signal noise a bit… I guess I could just move the crossovers to the amp rack under the seat too. We’ll see. Thanks though.
Very happy with my CT Sounds components. Word of warning…. When working the metra pod into place on the driver side be cautious of the top mounting horn. I snapped mine off. The other two mounting points suffice and there is no vibration, but it still bothers me.
I’m preparing to fab up something for a three-way front stage myself. Love to see how you ended up mounting the mid range and tweeters. Amazing work!
