  1. I Love Winter... Post Your Snow Pics ❄️ 📸

There are a ton of really beautiful trails. We've been going for years (it's really close to home). Nothing challenging there as far as wheeling, but it's a really relaxing area. Quite a bit of wildlife as well.
  2. I Love Winter... Post Your Snow Pics ❄️ 📸

We were up on Mt. Hebo (Oregon) yesterday. Stayed green until we hit 2,800 feet (the little "mountain" is only 3,100 feet high). There's an old early warning air force station up there (it's been decommissioned for years). We didn't get any pics, so here's a short video (with wife sound effects).
  3. Is a winch really necessary?

In the last year I've winched three trucks, one car, and one Wrangler out of a rough spot. I've never used the winch for myself (but I have used my recovery boards a couple times). So for me, a winch is a yes.
  4. Where did you WHEEL your Gladiator today?

My sister is moving to Wisconsin and she's never gone wheeling with us. So, my wife and I took her and her boyfriend to the Oregon Dunes (Florence). We had an absolute blast. Along with my wife's constant mantra of "oh honey, oh honey" (her catchphrase when we're hitting exciting areas), They...
  5. Drove my new Gladiator home today!

Congrats... Very nice. I love that color.
  6. Fun at the Oregon Dunes...

Yeah, she's a blast. When she screams, "we don't know what's on the other side", that was our third time around that hill that day. :) I'm running a 2.5 inch Rubicon Express lift with Fox 2.0 shocks, RockJock steering system, and a Bilstein damper, on 37 inch Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MTs. I...
  7. Fun at the Oregon Dunes...

Here are a few from the trail cam. A couple of these, I call, "Oh Honey". That's the phrase my wife utters often when we're hitting exciting areas. She even does it if we've already been there before.
  8. Fun at the Oregon Dunes...

In Florence... That's a regular haunt for us. Beautiful day. There was a big Bronco event going on as well... so lots of old and new Broncos.
  9. Fun at the Oregon Dunes...

Finally... A really nice family had gotten stuck on a high dune. It was in a really rough area where their options were limited. A bit of a giant sand bowl was right below them. I edged around and winched them just far enough to be able to cruise down right beside me. I gave them a duck as well. :)
  10. Fun at the Oregon Dunes...

My wife and I are finally able to go wheeling more often. We got to spend the weekend at the Oregon Dunes. Here are a couple of fun videos. Perspective is tough, so it's hard to tell just how steep and tight these sections are. My wife is great to wheel with because she always sounds this...
  11. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

After putting in new 5.13 gears, we had to break them in and then change the oil. It was tough because we couldn't go wheeling for a couple weeks. Now that everything is all broken in, we had to get out. Up in logging trails in Oregon. It was a beautiful day. Bonus pic of my sweetie.
  12. Tell us your favorite memory in a Jeep.

This one goes way back. I was 16 in 1983. I drove a CJ7. I would visit my first girlfriend and drive home late at night from her house. Its was summer but always really cool going to my house out in the country. The top and doors were always off and I never wore a jacket. I'd drive home in...
  13. Let's See Your Gear

Sorry if there's a pic thread about this. Let's see all the stuff you have packed in your Gladiator for wheeling/trips/safety. Here's a (fuzzy) pic of the stuff I always have with me. I take other stuff based on whether we're wheeling or camping (or both). Since it's fuzzy, here's a list of...
  14. Who got you into Jeeps and why did it stick??

In the winter of 1976 there was a true blizzard. We lived in the country in Ohio and my dad worked in the city. Couldn't go anywhere so dad went and bought a CJ7. That allowed him to make it to work every day. Then, a while later (maybe '78) there was a creek called Caesar's Creek that the...
  15. Jeeps Parking Next To Jeeps

All really good points. I've always been in the "love all Jeeps" camp. And, you're right that there are many many more people buying Jeeps as their daily driver, than those that actually go off-road.
  16. Let’s see your pets cause they are the best companion you can have!!!!!

Camping with our Poods. They like riding in the JT way more than they do camping in our tiny camper. But we love 'em. Teddy is in the front and Cookie is asleep in the back.
  17. BLACK Gladiator JT Club

I like those as well. Just ordered a pair.
  18. Show me your DUCKS !

I'm in Oregon. I get about 80% waves from wranglers and gladiators. Lots of gladiators here. I get ducked occasionally. Best one... I got out of the JT in a restaurant parking lot after a hard day at work... A wrangler pulled in beside me... A girl got out and asked if I had ever been ducked...
  19. Top on/Top off

Fully naked if it doesn't rain.
