Here are some better pictures that better display how much tire and wheel may stick out.
A nice thing about the tires out so far is their ability to help keep the longer wheelbase away from obstacles.
However, it’s also a bummer that the tires cause more splash up to hit the body.
Overall, I’m...
These are mine with -18 of “poke” on a bead locked 17x9 wheel on 40x13.50s.
It’s a lot of tire out of the fender but fits for the height and flexibility of the suspension.
I use mine like a truck and a Jeep and it works great for both. Jeeps have always needed maintenance and repair to keep them alive and that’s the fun part.
That’s why Jeepers started to wave at each other because they knew that other driver was a like-minded self-reliant and capable person that...
JEEP=Just Empty Every Pocket
She doesn’t argue, takes everything I can put in her, not picky about her meals although she does eat a lot, and always goes anywhere I want.
Ladies are expensive.
…( And get educated about the real strength of these HD D44s if you’re concerned. The bearings, housing...
I’ve had the Mopar brake controller for approximately 9 months and it’s been good.
Seamless integration with the dash so it looks factory. In fact, I think it’s been the best choice for me over the Curt wireless plug-in (regularly lost signal while towing) and other common wired-in controllers...
They are now on my wife’s Wrangler with the rash rings and 37s.
Here they were with Beadlock rings on 40s.
Beware: they are very off balanced because of the huge hole for the valve stem (3.5 to 4 ounces). AEV warrantied the wheels but the new ones were more off balance than the originals.
Update:
Companies that I had mentioned but need to give proper updates due to poor products, poor warranty and tech follow up, and/or poor customer service with poor outcomes. I won’t directly say their names because I’m thinking it wouldn’t be taken kindly on this forum.
(Terrorflex, Syngy...
I’ve always found the brands from Japan companies to outperform.
Toyo
Nitto
Yokohama
Even in racing tires it was the same outcome. I’m not sure if it’s an attention-to-detail or sincere desire to be the best but these companies always made better rubber and a better finished product.
Just look...
Those were the WORST tires I have run in over 25 years! Same brand as Interco with Super Swampers. Those were on my worst tires ever list and I never would’ve touched the Milestars if I had known it was the same company as Interco. Live and learn if you feel otherwise.
I’m back to Toyo, like...
If Toyota gave us the foreign versions of solid axle vehicles, I would be full Toyota but it’s a money game with insurance regulations and crunchable vehicles here in the US.
I worked for both Jeep and Toyota and have seen the quality difference and Toyota beats Jeep every time in foreign...
What tire size?
I’m looking at Magnusson in future with my 5.13s on 40s and stock axles but was warned the stock housings can’t have big enough gears for the strength of the supercharger’s power. I’m going to wait and see.
I’ve learned that everything terrorflex is garbage and pretty gimmicks. Give any of there stuff time and it will become apparent. Just like singery and every bolt they make stripping out with time.
Chinese garbage.
When did this thread become so much about cents on the dollar per barrel?!
It isn’t the driving factor at this time.
It’s most likely due to a war with posturing for bigger things that may lead to depleted reserves and our vehicles, both gas and diesel, may be off roading less due to limitations...
