I've read that i need to air down the spare slightly to get it to fit in the stock location. Anything else besides that to make it fit and stay secure there?
Ran mine down to 5 PSI to get it to fit, keeping heat shield in place.

Going to be making the journey shortly to pick up some lightly used 37's on Rockstar wheels. Super stoked (minus the upcoming 8hr round trip for them) because i think i got a great price on them and i've never had anything bigger than 33's in my Jeeping life!
Curious, do you have any lift or leveling kit installed. I've been thinking about 37s on my JTR but really don't want to do anything more than a 1.5 leveling kit in the front and 3/4" in the rear.

Grubby, i ran the 37" stock for a few months with very few times rubbing in the sand at full turn. didnt have a chance to run them in the mountains prior to lift.

I have the Mopar 2" factory lift. I'll be adding front leveling spacers soon as well, but that's purely for aesthetics because the slight front end sag drives me bonkers to look at!

People Work?
Custom offsets website is super nice for just this scenario. Check this out:
https://www.customwheeloffset.com/w...-off-road-viper-readylift-suspension-lift-4in

You can filter through the gallery and choose the tire and wheel size to see how it looks on peoples vehicles.
That is an excellent resource!
Looking at my stock rims, which are 7.5" wide with +37mm offset, I can calculate that a +18mm in an inch wider rim would keep me very close to the same amount of poke that I have now, and being able to filter their rims by all factors really helps to see what's available across the brands and styles.

Maybe pull your spare. You can put one of the 37's where the spare goes and only have to fit 4 in the bed.

The cutoff is 6/2021 for the gladiator so I imagine the wranglers carry the same. Seeing as how you have a 2020, if the sensors installed in the wheels came off a JL prior to that date, then you should be good. I am going to confirm here shortly when I get my rock trixs/35's installed, but I have read that they program automatically, just toss them on and drive. If the wheels came off a newer jeep, then youll have to swap your sensors in.

Worst case on transportation, bring a jack and put them on, then put your 33's in the bed. Ive moved a set of five 33's in the bed with tailgate closed and no straps, so I know thats possible. I feel like you could likely get away with tailgate down and a couple straps.

FWIW, gas is expensive. Assuming you get 18mpg and average 50mph, an 8hr trip is something like 22 gallons of gas. At 3.65, that's 80 bucks in fuel, plus your time. In the past, I've made trips like that, but not sure I would these days. Now having a 6 month old, I have to put a dollar amount on my time. I havent quite figured what that amount is, but ill give an example. It takes me 2 hours to mow my 3 acre lot. This past summer, I didnt have the time and paid a neighbor 40 bucks plus a 12pk of beer to do it for me. That equates to something like 55 bucks for two hours of his time. I would have gladly paid him a bit more, but we can make the assumption that my time is worth around 30/hr. 8hrs is a full day event, or 240 bucks of my time. I am not trying to talk you out of going, but for me, thats ~300 bucks in fuel and my time. Makes it a lot easier if you can entice the fella to meet you for some additional money. All that said, if its what you want and the deal is really that good, then def go for it!
You must work cheap if your time is only worth $30 per hour.

It was a very rough estimate haha. And i figure an underestimate is a better calculation for his consideration *shrugs*.

These are mine with -18 of “poke” on a bead locked 17x9 wheel on 40x13.50s.
It’s a lot of tire out of the fender but fits for the height and flexibility of the suspension.
