Update #6
I finally had some time to update the BCM. I want to mention @Jimmy07 & @ecidiego for their extensive write-ups. If you are taking on this project yourself I highly recommend you reading the ENTIRE thread, comments & all.
It takes some patience to finish the BCM update but in the end...
Update #5
I've been purchasing all the necessary components to install the OEM auxiliary switch panel & inverter outlet in the bed. Also I'm still in the progress of the OEM front trail camera which has proven to be more of an in depth process than I had anticipated. However, There's a couple...
Update #4
I haven't posted any updates in a awhile because I moved to RGV for a new job. Before the move I did manage to install some differential skid plates. I reluctantly went with RC because I knew they were going to have SHITTY BUILD QUALITY & I was going to need to modify them anyway...
Congratulations Galveston. You beat last year's record of 200 arrests. Keep ruining it for the rest of us.
Edit: I shouldn't blame Galveston when I know it's all the shit heads from the Houston areas causing the trouble.
All parts have arrived just in time for me to start a new job in a new city so the install will have to wait. Who ever said patience is a virtue never owned a Jeep.
Is that the only difference, a new grille?
Don't get me wrong, I like it. Just hoping jeep would implement more changes for the 20th anniversary Rubicon. I'd like to see 4.88 gears with 35s
I bought mine off the lot. Getting a Rubicon in sarge green without the red dash was more of a priority. I did ask about having the dealership install the trail cam when I bought it but they said it was impossible. Apparently they haven't learned that if you tell a Jeep owner a modification is...
Thank you.
So far I've tallied everything up:
Trail cam & components ~ $1020
Inverter & components ~ $330
Auxiliary Switch & components ~ $342
Tazer Mini $329
Total cost ~ $2100 if you include S&H
I shopped around to various Mopar parts websites. Hands down BAMwholesaleparts.com has the best...
@ecidiego I read on another thread that I would need this part: Adapter RG 174 COAX 9977-6-8
I can only find it through MOPAR specialty tools. I'm thinking this is something the dealership needs to flash the system but I'm not sure. Any idea if this is accurate?
