Alpha OBD still no support for 2022 truck. I talked to Jscan and showed them the Alpha OBD settings that need to be changed and they said they could do it. I have not confirmed it. Very expensive experiment.
What does it do when you try and attach to the BCM?

There is a brand new release of AlfaOBD released 3 days ago, check that one out.

You only need the cables mentioned. Ignore that other post.

Also - the dealer will not flash anything. They can't help with this mod other than selling MOPAR parts. You need to use AlfaOBD.
Thank you.

So far I've tallied everything up:
Trail cam & components ~ $1020
Inverter & components ~ $330
Auxiliary Switch & components ~ $342
Tazer Mini $329

Total cost ~ $2100 if you include S&H

I shopped around to various Mopar parts websites. Hands down BAMwholesaleparts.com has the best prices.

I’ll check it out. It just does not give you an option for the 2022 jeep at the beginning. And if you choose the 2021 then you can’t connect

Make sure you got the Aux Switches with the silver bezel to match your locker switch.

No one has confirmed if Tazer can do the Front Trailcam - you should ask.

Almost bought the wrong switch kit. Had to double check for the silver one.
The tazer is to enable the inverter as well as future upgrades.

It's funny the ~1000 price of parts to add the cam - when the option was $595, it was a much larger difference than now. It's $795 from Jeep now. Labor is a bitch of course though so still best to buy a truck with it.

You will learn everything about your interior and wiring doing this mod though!

I bought mine off the lot. Getting a Rubicon in sarge green without the red dash was more of a priority. I did ask about having the dealership install the trail cam when I bought it but they said it was impossible. Apparently they haven't learned that if you tell a Jeep owner a modification is "impossible" we will figure out a way to make it work.

Have some JB Plastic Weld for the back panel. Take painstaking time removing that.

I already have aux switches and tazer but curious, are you hooking front cam to a switch?

It is the 8.4 correct?
Maybe I missed it, but is Alfa required for front camera install only? I have 8.4 and aux switches already with Tazer Mini.

Appreciate your write up and effort!

I do not know if Tazer can do it. All of us who have done it used AlfaOBD. Aux switches are irrelevant as far as the front camera is concerned. I only mention them because I did them at the same time.
