Well definitely check caliper mounting bolts, I thought mine were tight, torqued them again really good and thump has officially been dispersed. Thanks @ShadowsPapa for the recommendation earlier in this thread
Well my thump / clunk after breaking was definitely the suspension “Stiction” from the failing leaking Fox shock. I did clean the rotors and calipers while I was in there
I’m replacing all four shock absorbers on mine tomorrow to send the originals to fox for rebuilds , I’ll lubricate caliper sliders and guides at same time hopefully that will stop my issue
You missed a spot… Man wow, superbly done with cans. I’ve painted a whole car using cans beforebut he car was 20yrs old , that takes confidence on a newer vehicle to make sure you’d get it right. Congrats
I really don’t get why I’m only getting like 15.8-16.7 mpg on my stock mojave, in Piedmont Triad, NC … that’s commuting to office 12 miles, 50/50 hwy/ city
Yeah was reading today about weepage vs leakage… maybe mine only weeped but considering some dropped on the lower mounting bolt I’m not so sure. The bounce test is still ok on the shock. I cleaned it and will monitor between oil changes.
Thanks for the input , yeah it did leak onto the mounting bolt so one could argue it dropped below as well.., I’ll wait for the 10,000 mile oil change and see. I cleaned it today to see what happens between now and then.
