In 2025 I Resolve To Offroad with Metalcloak!
To fulfill my pledge I need:
Jeep JT Gladiator 3.5" Game-Changer Suspension & Lift Kit with Rocksport Red Shocks
UnderCloak Integrated Armor System, JT Gladiator, 3.6L Motor
JT Gladiator Lo Profile Modular Rear Bumper
Absolutely love mine. Got them used and have put over 30k miles on them. Flawless. Just bought a new pair for the wife's Wrangler. She had Teraflex quick disconnects, and after the 10th time struggling to reconnect those I bought her the Apex as a very early birthday present.
AAL now has two models - one for Rubicon/Mojave and one for Sahara/Overland/Sport S
Quake now apparently has three different variants. (Hence a lot of my confusion.)
OK, so I have decided a fender chop is in my future, as I have a '22 Altitude and like my painted flares. I've tried to research this to death and I think I've confused myself or something. Hopefully someone can clarify.
MOST (not all) kits I've looked at indicate they fit Rubicon flares, which...
Fun fact: I priced the whole lift using individual parts EXCEPT bump stops (couldn't find them) front sway bar links (figured most folks would buy quick disconnects) and a set of Bilstein 5100s.
Total price before shipping and tax = $1039
Your milage may vary, as the Mopar parts site seems to...
In case anyone cares, I got a straight answer on this. Nokian has discontinued the Outpost AT and is rolling out a newer tire, the Outpost nAT. Not available just yet but "soon".
After a ton of research, I was all set to buy a set of Nokian Outpost 35" tires, but suddenly no one stocks them. Did they pull out of the US market or something? @Discount Tire lists them as discontinued?
I figured the "preload" would be nonexistent if the links are the same length. Thanks for verifying!
As for the travel, I guess I'm not sure, but I also can't really think of a scenario during normal on road driving that I'd get even remotely close at the top.
So I recently bought a lightly used Mopar 2" lift kit and installed it myself. Love it, no issues.
The guy who sold it to me "threw in" a pair of adjustable sway bar end links with quick disconnects. I'm unsure of the brand. They are new in sealed bags but no markings, so I'm assuming they came...
Not sure if this is even the right section, but here goes.
I ditched my stock 245 75R17 tires for 285 70R17 KO2s. Love 'em. Hooked up JScan and followed the directions about tire measurements. Measuring from the ground to top through the center my tires are 32.25". Load up JScan, connect and...
Just wanted to update everyone on my experience - everything was absolutely perfect! One of the guys working there had a Rubicon and we talked Gladiators for a few minutes. I was quite impressed with the service and the speed. This was my first experience with DT, but it won't be the last. Thank...
So, just to clear things up, @Discount Tire messaged me and I'm quite certain everything will go smoothly. Also, the manager never said he WOULDN'T do it, he just wouldn't confirm. My question was to gain information IN CASE I had push back. Mission accomplished - and thanks to everyone who...
