Plug and play. Easy install. Only thing that took a bit of extra work was taking the bumper apart to change the red tow hooks it comes with to the orange OEM hooks.
Been using it for a few years. No issues and like the convenience of not having to get a new controller when i change vehicles. The strap they provide is pretty useless so i use a velcro strap to secure the controller, works perfectly.
The stock plastic bumper has steel reinforcement. With the Mojave skid plate its around 45-50 pounds. This one with the winch plate and aluminum skid is around 40 pounds.
Didn’t think that the Falkens that came on my Mojave worked well at all in mud. They packed up and didn’t shed the mud at all. Changed them for Yokohama Geolander X-AT’s and found them to be much better in mud and quieter on road. So far I’m much happier with the Yoko’s.
I did -6 with 35x12.5 and think its perfect, just like the first post. Son did -38 with 37x12.5 and his does have a lot more poke. I’ll get pics as soon as his truck is back.
Which winch is that and which LOD winch plate? Best install I’ve seen and I’d like to do the same. I’m guessing 0701 plate and rc9.0 winch. What did you use to support the hawse fair lead, lod mount? Thanks
