I have always had MT’s on my Jeeps, and now have a Gladiator instead of a JK or YJ. I will probably still do some wheeling at a park now and then, but more often will be needing to get through some mud on family land. I have the stock Falken AT’s on it now and have been hesitant to go through any real mud with them, even getting out and walking instead.
I am researching hybrids since I am not the world’s biggest fan of tire noise. Toyo MT’s I have preferred in the past are fine when new but get awfully loud as they wear down. Has anyone found any hybrids that are actually good (or decent even) in the mud?

LOL - was seeing this as hybrid meaning a Wrangler 4xe and of course they'd be decent in mud.
Maybe say hybrid tires, since hybrid vehicles are a big focus these days.

Didn’t think that the Falkens that came on my Mojave worked well at all in mud. They packed up and didn’t shed the mud at all. Changed them for Yokohama Geolander X-AT’s and found them to be much better in mud and quieter on road. So far I’m much happier with the Yoko’s.

My wife's (and now my father's) Kenda Klever RT601's were pretty good in the mud and good for noise. They call them an all terrain but the tread was definitely more hybrid and about halfway between the grabber atx and my km3's in terms of aggressiveness and lug type.

These are the 35's and you can see that there is quite a bit of space between the lugs compared to a lot of AT's.

I've had these on two different vehicles, and recommend them whenever someone wants an A/T that functions like a M/T. They have a little bit of road noise (not as much as a BFG M/T), last 40,000+ miles, and are tough (I've pulled multiple nails out that didn't puncture.)

Anecdotal evidence, yes, but what sold me on them many many years ago was when I was out exploring and my '96 cherokee sank to the hubs in some real sloppy clay mud. I had these tires in 31x10.5, dropped it in 4 low and it just (slowly) crawled right out like it was nothing. They self clean really well.

Only issue is that they do pick up rocks with surprising efficiency.
