  1. ELECTRICAL WARNING TO ECODIESEL OWNERS: Shifter Controller Wiring Harness (Service Shifter error message)

Wouldn’t you think that as smart as these “engineers” are that design these things, they would be able to figure out that wires too close to hot exhaust should have some kind of heat shield? It boggles my mind to think of all the wiring issues I’ve had with Jeeps over the years. Fuel pumps ...
  2. MPG Steadily dropping….

All great information. I did buy a Mopar air filter and fuel filter. I always stick with OEM as well. I will double check the air filter and see if that makes any difference. I do believe that Minnesota has already switched to winter blend fuel, and that is most likely what has happened. My...
  3. MPG Steadily dropping….

Like I said before in the original post, all of this started about a week ago when I filled up, changed my air filter, and then took it into the dealer for my second oil change. The trip where I saw 26mpg was over a month ago. I’ve been running pedal monster for almost a year now and it didn’t...
  4. MPG Steadily dropping….

I did see 26mpg average on a trip we took recently where I drive around 60-65 the whole way. That’s the only time. Yes I do see some real time numbers of 24-25, but nothing like that since my last fill up. I’ll be taking a weekend trip a few hours away in a few days where I’ll be driving...
  5. MPG Steadily dropping….

Good info. I’ve been planning on getting one. I run the Banks pedal monster now and love it. I’ve never seen any regen notifications and I just turned over 12,000 miles.
  6. MPG Steadily dropping….

Agreed. 90 degrees yesterday in Minnesota and close to that today too. 30 degrees above average. I’ll take this I’ve frigid temperatures and snow any day though.
  7. MPG Steadily dropping….

I’ve never seen above 26 ever, and once I go above 65 it starts dropping. On my trip through Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho this summer I average 22-23 the whole trip with all of my overlanding gear in the back and the go fast camper on as well. I was under the impression that higher tire pressure...
  8. MPG Steadily dropping….

I think that is exactly what is going on. I don’t drive it in the winter because of the salt they use on the roads, so I’ve never noticed if there’s a drop in mpg or not.
  9. MPG Steadily dropping….

I’ve had the GFC on for several months and it did not change my mpg at all. The GFC weighs 240 lbs. The diesel doesn’t even know it’s back there and performance was not affected at all. This happened within the past week when I noticed several miles less per gallon. I’m thinking like a lot of...
  10. MPG Steadily dropping….

Gas engine? I’m running diesel. And yeah I’m noticing it dropping about 3 mpg lower than normal since I filled up last, so I’m thinking it must be the winter blend.
  11. MPG Steadily dropping….

No it’s definitely not the tires. I’ve had the tires on for at least 6 months. We took a trip out west to Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming, and I was averaging 22-24 (on the gauge) for the total trip of around 2500 miles even through the mountains. It definitely started around the time I had the oil...
  12. MPG Steadily dropping….

I did recently hear on the news that they’re switching over soon, so maybe they already did. And I do remember filling up with diesel the day before I had the oil changed.
  13. MPG Steadily dropping….

    That’s because you’re running a gas engine.
  14. MPG Steadily dropping….

That may be it. I’m in Minnesota, and I believe they may have already started selling winter blend. Quite a drop in mpg from summer to winter blend. I don’t drive it in the snow and salt so maybe I didn’t notice it last
  15. MPG Steadily dropping….

No they’re pretty much the same they’ve always been around 35 psi.
  16. MPG Steadily dropping….

I thought I posted this in the diesel forum. Stock 3.73 gears. I’ve had the pedal commander since it was new. I’ve been getting 20 mpg on it around town with bumper, winch, Go fast camper, and yes on 37’s. I’ll average 24-25 on the interstate at 65-70 mph loaded with camping gear. It just all of...
