A friend of mine has it on his overland diesel and loves it, I drove it a few times and it’s just like my gasser with a 2.5 metal cloak, he drove mine, that’s why he went and ordered his. Easy install bad ass ride and nice flex. Couldn’t ask for more.
2021 Willys went from 3:73 and 37” Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ to 5:13 and a locker love it has acceleration at highway speeds in 8th most of the time, would defiantly recommend a change. As said above about 2300 to 2400 rpm at 70 to 75.
I just received mine today, was thinking about switching to the ball joint links they have pictured on their website. First I have to figure out how to straighten the factory bracket so I can add these.
I have the same setup Willy’s 37” tires 5:13 gears Ox locker in rear and moved the LSD to the front. I felt what you are talking about while in Moab, even with the LSD. It’s worse the more you are aired down. I’m going to try adjusting like the video says.
I have 2 buddies with 37x13.50 20” both of theirs rode like crap, road wandered and grabbed every groove in the pavement, you could feel every bump and you definitely can’t let go of the wheel. Another friend of mine has 37x13.50 17” drives perfect, no wobble no wandering, I run 37x12.5 17” and...
You should get the hold down bracket for the hard top T tops that mount to the roll bar in back and windshield frame. When we bought our Jeep they were missing I went to the local dealership and ordered them 3 were plastic one is cast aluminum, they were $415.00 with the mounting screws. Was...
The first day we went down Kane Creek, down hamburger hill (not up) every one aired down the Gobie with 40’s and bead locks went down to 10psi all te way around and the Stingray went to 13 front and 10 rear, my inexperience led me to drop to about 18 all the way around because I knew we were...
Sure the Stingray Overland is Diesel, has a 3.5” metal Cloak lift with the Metal Cloak 6pack shocks, OX locker in Rear, regeared to 4.56 with the LSD from the rear moved to the front differential. Black Rhino wheels and 37” tires, the Gobie Rubicon has 6” long arm lift, Dirt Logic shocks and...
Ya that one was kind of an accident, we weren’t expecting Hamburger Hill, no one had been down it before and someone said it was an easy trail to start with, so that was our first day there and we got a pretty quick introduction to Moab. All in all it was a blast, a few scratches, my rear sway...
That one is mine, it has a Metal Cloak 2.5” lift, 37” Mickey Thompson Baja boss MT. Other than that it has an OX locker in the rear, the stock LSD was moved from rear to front and Yukon 5.13 gears.
This was my first trip as well, my advice is based on limited experience (wheeled before but not in a gladiator and not in Moab) find someone who’s been there or fall in with a group that has someone experienced. The guy on the ground has a way better view of things than you do. Listen to him...
We left town and fueled up at 8:30 were back home that evening at 6:45. We stopped and had lunch and went to some of the scenic spots and took pictures. Then waited at the Waterfall for some Toyota’s to clear.
Trip to Moab with friends that have become like Family! My first time out there and hopefully not the last!
Here’s more pics and footage
I’ll try to edit down some other clips so they will fit.
I should have labeled the pictures where or which trail they were from. To make it a...
