I wish I could drive a 5.13 Mojave to say oh ok, that’s the difference.

I’ve got the stock 4.10’s on 37” KO2’s and in the Carolina’s I’m seeing 7th and 8th. The truck ain’t fast. I do have the Banks pedal monster to help a little sleepiness in the gas pedal.

So, as a newbie to rehearing, what am I going to feel differently?

Best 2k ever spent. From 12 seconds 0-60 to 9.5, I have all my gears, and I can go up steep hills in 2wd with out worrying I'm going to stall the engine. I'm on 39s btw so with 37s expect even more performance.

I have 37 KOs and also have the pedal monster. Halfway on sport is almost unusable to me so yeah it’s pretty awesome! I live in Texas with plenty of hills and it made a huge difference. Would definitely recommend ?

Thanks- good feedback and sort of what I anticipated.

And then at highway cruising, you’re doing as good or better than before?

RPMs are a little higher but it stays in 8th gear all the time so little to no change for me as far as fuel efficiency.

4.10 to 5.13 is a 25% change in the final drive ratio.

That’s a big change you’ll definitely notice.
Makes sense. Now deep into reading all the 4.88 v 5.13 debates…

Looking forward to this thread. My 2023 Willy’s is currently all stock. So it has the 3:73 gears. Im a mild off road person. Will do it often but more trails than rock crawling.
Currently my sees a lot of dropping out of 8th on the highway but does not seem to need to drop into 6th. So for the 32 MT it seems fine. I imaging a level and even just going to 33’s Will possibly cause more of that. So. Trying to sort out the gear I would want.

2021 Willys went from 3:73 and 37” Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ to 5:13 and a locker love it has acceleration at highway speeds in 8th most of the time, would defiantly recommend a change. As said above about 2300 to 2400 rpm at 70 to 75.

I‘ll be going from 3.73 - 5.13 gears in my diesel to keep the RPM’s in the 1500-2000 sweet spot range.

I‘ll be running 37’s.

That's too much gear for 37's and the diesel if you want to stay under 2000 rpm at highway speed.

4.10s or 4.56s are much closer to the 2000 rpm # at 70-75

My experience. Rock crawling and or heavier towing 5.13. Trails and light towing 4.88. With 4.88 should be good and little better going highway speeds. Having the 5.13 could be nice if you decide to go a bit bigger like 38”.

My mpgs highway stayed basically the same because even though my final drive ratio is 25% shorter I'm using 8th gear instead of 5 or 6th that I was stuck in before.
