The steps and switchbacks are her greatest fears.
I know staying to the right on the steps and facing them with both front wheels dropping at the same time is the best approach, and the switchbacks are a little more 'involved' with the longer wheelbase, I will one day get to Telluride from 550...
In my garage I have parts from Harley's and SXS's I'll never own again. I had my old bumpers from my JT for about 2 years before I finally put them on the curb. I am trying to overcome my hoarding tendencies.
I added the Z Performance (Tazer ppl) front camera and it works well. I've used it in Moab during EJS and it's great. I am not aware of any way to use it as a dash cam though.
I bought a cheap 'action camera' from Amazon for $70 and it works great for that.
We just got back to Noble, OK from Ouray and Silverton for the week. Of course did Alpine Loop and drove past the entrance to Black Bear (that counts, right? lol)
Today I relocated the LED strip tail light/blinker to the top of the bumper so I could access the spare carrier in preparation for the relocating of the spare back to the stock position.
I'll wait until I'm finished with the lift before actually putting the spare back under there.
I have a...
So for some clarity here, I am not a duck fan, but my wife is.
So, we have ducks.
I have a couple that I think are cool, (3D printed red with horns, and a red zombie I got at EJS) others are in a bag for the wife to distribute.
Some folks will buy a bunch of ducks to keep on the dash in...
I removed the heat shield and cut the exhaust just above the axle for rock crawling clearance when I relocated the spare to the bed.
Now, I am moving the spare back to the stock location (wasn't necessary to relocate the spare, btw) and these replies have been helpful.
I have GOT to stop...
Perfect timing!
That's exactly what I was wondering.
I just ordered the Bilstein 5100 3.5" shocks and Teraflex 3.5" lift springs/kit.
I'll also add the Core 4x4 Camp series adjustable control arms and track bars, front and rear, to correct pinion angle.
Probably some brake line relocation...
I don't know if you've already done this, but YES. There is. I did it last night and I retained all of the OEM Mounting points and the OE DRL's.
Just make sure you leave the structure that bolts into the underside of the fender and it will retain all of it's original integrity.
I have 2 - 10' Kayaks that I haul on a regular basis.
I just flip one upside down on top of the other and strap them down in the bed with the tailgate down.
No problems so far.
I will be getting a roof rack with a dual Kayak rack in the future, just so I can carry more camping gear in the...
I bought the Napier and will use our sleeping system we used in the other tents (Shipping blankets as a base, Backpacker inflated pads inside sleeping bags as mats, and blankets/pillows from home) once my wife decides she wants to go camping now......
I did the Rubicon spring/shock swap on my Overland and get flashed all the time until I rolled my headlights down. Still happens on occasion, so I keep a finger on the x-ray machine when I am meeting on-coming traffic at night.
